Ah Shpongle. Talk about a head trip. Add in the incomparable Terrence McKenna and you have one amazing song. Here McKenna talks about his 'experience'... If you never heard of McKenna, he was to D*M*T* in the '90s what Leary was to L*S*D in the 60s...only cooler. Never heard of D*M*T*? Google NOW! Or do a youtube search on Joe Rogan+D*M*T (minus *'s) and find out how deep the rabbit hole goes.

Arriving Somewhere...But Not Here - Porcupine Tree

PORCUPINE TREE! - The coolest prog band you've never heard of. (or at least I didn't until I heard that Alex Lifeson was playing on one of their songs). Arriving Somewhere....my second favorite PT song (Yellow Hedgerow Dreamscape having the honor of first). Another great song that kicks in about 1/2 way through to jam... Cool video too.

Between Life And Death - Astral Waves

To me, you can actually feel the transition in this song, from 'life' at the beginning...then 'life' growing, forming, reforming and then to the middle part...which sounds like 'death'. Only to be followed, triumphantly by 'life' again, emerging from 'death'. Or so it seems to me... :) Enjoy!!
