"Wait... so that's it? You guys haven't seen each other since?" My friend Amberlyn questioned leaning back on the counter of our shared kitchen.
I nodded, sipping the coffee she just brewed. It was an early Tuesday morning in December. Even with the heat on in our small apartment we could still feel the chill air leaking in from cracks in the windows.
"I dont even know where he is. After that we stopped talking." I sighed placing the cup down, the warmth leaving my hands causing me to rub them together.
She stayed silent staring at the dark, cherry wood floor. "Wow..." she breathed. "Even a love like that ends, huh?" She gave a small smile before standing up fully. "Come on, let's go before we're late for Mr. Runk's morning lecture."
I muttered a small "Yeah." Grabbing the car keys on the table. "Let's go."
