I've Been Playing This Harry Potter Game for MONTHS

I have been playing Hogwarts a Mystery, a mobile game in which your character tries to solve the mystery of your brother's disappearance and the strange 'cursed vaults' hidden in Hogwarts, for FOREVER. I just really like the graphics and want to be able to explore all the rooms BUT ITS TAKING SO LONG. I also refuse to spend any money at all so I'm playing at the slowest pace -___- You can take classes, explore the library and common rooms (only your own of course!), and hang out with friends like Tonks! You can even visit Hogsmeade and Diagon Alley :) You can also take care of Magical Creatures! You get to customize your avatar and yes, I did choose a magical cat sweater ;)

I Watched 'The Great Hack' and Now I'm Scared of the Internet

Last year data surpassed oil in value. Data is the most valuable asset on Earth. Last night I decided to watch one of Netflix's newest documentaries, The Great Hack. I thought I knew a lot about the scandal revolving around Facebook, Cambridge Analytica, the Trump win and the Brexit win, but there is so much more. I honestly thought the documentary was really well done (though one of the main people of interest in it made me want to throw my laptop out the window - you'll know if you've seen it) and left us with really important points to think about. One huge one being that there are forces at play (be it Steve Bannon or the 'Bad Boys of Brexit' or Russia) that want us to hate each other. To be divided, to be polarized. That way we will destroy each other and ourselves. Divide and conquer. Everyone is being manipulated, probably even me. This was a not so gentle reminder to think critically, focus on evidence (and if there is "evidence," check that its real lol), and to uh...read those terms of service.

My Tips For Studying Korean!

I've recently started properly studying Korean again and wanted to share some easy ways to practice and get started! 1. Start studying in the morning to jump start your learning! I use DuoLingo for a quick review while I eat breakfast. Other people have also suggested Memrise, LingoDeer, and Anki :) I personally prefer Duolingo but anything helps! 2. Watch and learn! A common suggestion for improving your Korean is to watch Kdramas and write down every word you don't know. The problem is, Korean dramas are LONG. It can be disheartening to try to watch an hour of a show and be contantly taking notes. I suggest that you instead watch Korean YouTubers because they use vocabulary you'd probably want to know (they speak like humans as opposed to how some people talk in dramas lol!). There are also shorter Web Dramas available that are fun too! 3. Play the name game

Book Recommendation: City of Brass Trilogy

For fans of fantasy books, I want to share two books (third is still being written) that I think you'll like :) City of Brass follows one girl living in Egypt named Nahri. She is just like you and me except for some strange powers that she doesn't give much thought to. She can heal people and can understand/speak languages the second she hears them (isn't the the dream!) Without giving too much away, she accidently sends out a sort of beacon that has mythological creatures like djinn, peri, and many more immediately coming for her - most of them wanting her dead. Luckily she has a daeva (similar to a djinn) that is sworn to protect her, even though he soooort of hates her guts. They have to not only save themselves, but essentially save the world and restore order and as expected, it's not easy. Overall I liked the plot and loved learned more about middle eastern mythology, but I wish there was more time to develop the characters. So much happened that it felt a little rushed.
