SPIKE SPIEGEL Personality Spike is a slothful, listless, indifferent, and lazy character. He indeed passes the vast majority of his time on the Bebop lounging, watching TV, or sleeping. In a few rare occasions, he is also seen reading or practicing Jeet Kune Do, a martial arts practice he is very skilled in, being among other things passionate of Bruce Lee films. He is a hardened smoker, shown with a cigarette in his mouth in practically every shot (the poor conditions in the cigarettes that are depicted recall those of Daisuke Jigen.) Spike is rarely seen excited about something and, even less frequently, says he likes something. He usually behaves phlegmatically and walks slouching almost as if he is sleepwalking. He appears to be tormented by the ghosts of his past and has frequent nightmares of his life in the Red Dragon. He considers he already died once therefore doesn't show the slightest fear of the possibility of being killed, often acts as if to challenge death, so to prove he is still alive. However in a conversation with Faye, he admits to not want to die because of "the hate to." Following the implant of an artificial eye, he says his left eye, the real one, sees the present while the right synthetic one sees the past, making the past indelible in his mind, not allowing him to get rid of or forget it. Despite that, he usually encourages others to forget the past as "not important." Although people often talk about cowboys in an almost heroic sense, his image is far from the idea of one and, on the contrary, has characteristics typical of an antihero. He never acts to protect anyone but only for interest, often has to be persuaded to commit himself to a hunt he considers little exciting, has a rather sharp and cynical sense of humor, when he pursues a bounty, he throws himself headfirst into action regardless of damage caused to people and buildings, and doesn't have the slightest moral scruples of having to kill someone. In a few occasions, despite his proverbial indifference towards others, he has shown some sympathy for people involved in his cases and even for those who've tried to kill him, revealing a deeper nature than he would like to show. He treats Ein as kind of emergency food and Ed as a burden, but in reality, despite never telling his companions a word of appreciation, Spike nurtures an obvious affection for each of them and often seems willing to help them. This affection is shown through his constant choice to not interfere as they face their past, even if meaning he has to pass up a bounty. In particular, he shares a genuine brotherly affection with Jet, and it is safe to say that they consider each other their best friend. In fact, they are often seen talking together like two old friends. Although they often fight because of the excessive stubbornness of Spike, occasionally resulting in him being banned from Bebop, these arguments are always resolved in short time. Jet is also the only person Spike confides about his past. His relationship with Faye is instead the most complex in the series. Most of the time they do nothing but bicker however, in moments of danger Faye has always shown concern for Spike, and Spike has shown some empathy for Faye's situation. Faye has also always taken care of Spike when he was injured, although she still kept a bitter attitude. The affection between them is quite obvious, and many people have speculated that Faye could be in love with Spike. Watanabe has said on the subject, "Sometimes I'm asked the question, 'What does Spike think of Faye?' I think that he likes her a little. But he's not a very simple person and makes sure not to show it." Abilities Spike has many talents and abilities, including very sharp eyesight, abnormally acute perception, and extraordinary luck. Spike makes use of sleight-of-hand techniques to win card games, pick pockets, and even to slip things onto other people unnoticed. He is well versed in weaponry (such as his personal Jericho 941, or Ruger P85 as well as other guns and explosives) and hand-to-hand combat skills due to his past employment with the Red Dragon crime syndicate. He follows Jeet Kune Do, the mindset developed by Bruce Lee, though he has a penchant for high kicks of French boxing. Spike is also a pilot, and flies a converted Asteroid racer called Swordfish II which is armed with four machine guns, multiple missile launchers, and a single plasma cannon. Spike also repeatedly demonstrates an exceptionally sharp intellect, although he has a habit for neglecting to plan ahead, as noted by Jet. Spike has repeatedly been able to outwit the entire Red Dragon syndicate, predict the moves of his opponents (whether in combat or in the casinos), and use lateral thinking to get out of virtually every situation which life throws at him. He can also swallow and regurgitate objects e.g. a chip (casino chip) at will.
Nerd Battle! Wolverine vs. Father Anderson
Battlefield: Xavier Mansion Prep: None No Backup One On One Both Bloodlusted (Obviously) No Morals WOLVERINE Personality Wolverine is a gruff loner who has a strong sense of personal honor. He also has a wild, animal-like nature to him and a savage, or "berserker," rage which he tries to control. He is also perfectly at home in the wilderness. He is known as one of the most fearless, brave, and dangerous men in the world, stated by Steve Rogers. Wolverine has established himself quickly as the X-Man most willing to permanently deal with their adversaries. He developed close friendships with his teammates Nightcrawler, whose personality diametrically opposed Wolverine's, and Colossus, who often performed the "fastball special" with him. He is something of a father figure to Natasha Romanoff, Shadowcat, Rogue, X-23, and Jubilee. He loved many women, including Rose, Itsu, Viper, Silver Fox, Phoenix, and Mariko. There are only a few Wolverine truly trusts, which are Captain America (Steve Rogers), Nick Fury, Jean Grey, and Spider-Man (Peter Parker). Superhumanly Acute Senses: Wolverine possesses superhumanly acute senses that are comparable to those of certain animals. He can see at far greater distances, with perfect clarity, than an ordinary human. He retains this same level of clarity even in near total darkness. His hearing is enhanced in a similar manner, allowing him to detect sounds ordinary humans couldn't hear at a greater distances, enough to hear a teardrop in another room that have thick walls with enough focus. He is able to recognize people and objects by scent, even if they are well hidden. He can track a target by scent, even if the scent has been greatly eroded by time and weather factors, with an extraordinary degree of success. Wolverine can also use his keen sense of smell to detect lies due to chemical changes within a person's scent. These senses stem from, at least partially, his constant cellular regeneration, as are his enhanced physical capabilities. Enhanced Strength: His natural strength is augmented by the demand placed on his musculature due to the presence of over 50kg/100 pounds of adamantium bonded to his skeleton, which also removes the natural limitations of the human skeletal structure by allowing him to lift weights that would damage a human skeleton. Wolverine has been depicted with sufficient strength to break steel chains,[96][97] support the weight of a dozen men with one arm[98] and lift the 450kg/955 lb Ursa Major over his head before tossing him across a room.[99] Wolverine's strength is enough to allow him to press/lift just about 2 tons. Enhanced Speed: Wolverine is able to move at low level superhuman speeds. He has attacked faster than the eye could follow and even Spider-Man briefly thought Wolverine was faster than he was in their first fight. His combat speed seems more enhanced than anything else, as he has frequently kept up with Spider-Man in combat, and blitzed people before they pull their trigger fingers. Insulated Weather Adaptation: Wolverine's body is highly resistant to certain elemental extremes, particularly cold, to the extent that he can sleep nude in subarctic conditions with no apparent injury. Animal Empathy: Wolverine has the ability to sense the emotional state of animals on a basic level such as fear, anger, happiness or pain. He can even communicate with them to make the animal aware of his actions and or his intent. Animal Empathy: Wolverine has the ability to sense the emotional state of animals on a basic level such as fear, anger, happiness or pain. He can even communicate with them to make the animal aware of his actions and or his intent. Bone Claws: Wolverine's skeleton includes six retractable 12-inch long bone claws, three in each arm, that are housed beneath the skin and muscle of his forearms. Wolverine can, at will, release these slightly curved claws through his skin between the knuckles on each hand. The skin between the knuckles tears and bleeds, but the blood loss is quickly halted by his healing factor. Wolverine can unsheathe any number of his claws at once, although he must keep his wrists straight at the moment his claws pass from his forearms into his hands. When unsheathed, the claws are entirely within his forearms, allowing him to bend his wrists when they are extended. The claws are made of bone, unlike the claws of normal mammals which are made of keratin, and were originally believed to be bionic adamantium implants. Like his son Daken, the bone claws are sharp and dense enough to slice through substances as durable as most metals, wood, and stone. Adamantium Poisoning Immunity: After having his Regenerative Healing Factor stripped by a virus, Beast synthesizes a drug to counteract the adamantium poisoning in Logan's system to keep him from dying. Abilities Master Tactician: Though seemingly brutish, Wolverine is highly intelligent. When Forge monitored Wolverine's vitals during a Danger Room training session, he reported Logan's physical and mental state as "equivalent to an Olympic-level gymnast performing a Gold-medal-winning routine whilst simultaneously beating four chess computers in his head",[100] which gives something of an idea of the level of sophistication and tactical processing Logan is capable of utilizing while in combat. He remembers Ogun teaching him Sun Tzu's The Art of War. Master Martial Artist: Due to his extensive training as a soldier, a CIA operative, a samurai and a member of the X-Men, Logan is an exceptional martial artist, with expertise in Japanese martial arts, and has mastered 15 forms of martial arts, including Israeli Special Forces Training.[101] His extraordinary hand-to-hand combat ability makes him one of the finest combatants on Earth as he was able to keep up with both the Black Panther and the Iron Fist,[102] both expert martial artists. He has also defeated various hand-to-hand experts without using his claws. He even has taught the Black Widow, Rogue, Storm, Colossus, Primal, Sunspot, Armor, Jubilee, and Shadowcat in hand-to-hand combat. Expert Marksman: He is an expert marksman skilled in throwing weapons and firearms, but operates more efficiently without them. Expert Swordsman: Logan is proficient in Japanese sword fighting having studied under Ogun and the Silver Samurai. He was further taught by Silver Samurai on the use of the Muramasa Blade after his first fight with Romulus.[103] Skilled Acrobat: He is skilled in gymnastics, acrobatics and aerials, but is not on the same scale as other fighters such as Captain America and Daredevil. Advanced Covert Ops Expert: Due to his experience traveling the world and working for various government agencies, Wolverine is also a trained expert in multiple types of weapons, vehicles, computer systems, explosives, and assassination techniques. In the Weapon X comic he said: I can put six shots into a quarter... an' get change for the gum-machine. Skilled Mechanic: Along with Kurt Wagner (Nightcrawler), Wolverine has also been the mechanic of the X-Men's Blackbird jet for a long time. Multilingual: A polyglot; Wolverine is fluent in many languages including English, Arabic, Japanese, Russian, Chinese, Cheyenne, Lakota, and Spanish; he has some knowledge of French, German, Thai, Vietnamese, Farsi and Portuguese.[104] Ogun taught him Japanese ideograms. With his increased lifespan and journeys across the globe, he has been able to amass an intimate knowledge of many foreign customs and cultures. Once he saw a kabuki play of The 47 Ronin (Genroku Chūshingura) and remarked how it was one of the finest kabuki troupes he had seen. His exploits have further endowed him with vast awareness of literature and philosophy. Strength level As a result of Wolverine's constant cellular regeneration and the additional weight and tensile strength of his skeleton he has some degree of superhuman strength enabling him to press somewhere in excess of 800 lbs. but not more than 2 tons and he is able to place this strength in his strikes. The latest official handbook entry says that Wolverine is capable of lifting in excess of 800 lbs. for brief periods due to his adamantium skeleton.[17] Weaknesses Vulnerable Senses: Wolverine's only other "weakness" is the fact that his heightened senses can be taken advantage of. For instance, when he was fighting the Bruce Banner (Hulk), he was nearly killed by the Hulk's thunder claps due to his heightened sense of hearing.[105] Decapitation/Severe Spinal Damage: Professor X once stated that Wolverine could be killed if his head becomes separated from his body, causing his brain to be unable to send signals to the section(s) of his body that needs healing. Because of the addition of his adamantium-laced skeleton, however, the idea seems very unlikely.[106] Adamantium-related weaknesses: Adamantium Allotropes: Adamantium has thirteen different allotropes (variants) that are very unstable compared to adamantium because of their different molecular configurations and thus physical properties. Some have caused Wolverine to become dizzy or weak just by being in close contact with these adamantium specimens. Drowning: Of the few ways to kill Wolverine, given drowning cuts the brain's oxygen supply.[107] He has admitted that being kept underwater can kill him, with the healing factor only prolonging the agony.[108] Wolverine added that he is not fond of being on water, as the the addition of nearly 100 pounds of Adamantium to his body reduced his buoyancy.[109] FATHER ALEXANDER ANDERSON Personality Alexander Anderson is an ardent Catholic. He carries an obsession for what appears to be his "crusade," and compulsively quotes passages of the Holy Bible as he speaks. He is extremely determined to achieve his end, usually by whatever means necessary. His words and his constant quoting of scripture indicate a clear, almost fanatical obedience towards "the word of God". His behavior in the first volume was depicted as an intense Catholic priest, who went as far as calling Integra "Babylon", as a reference to Whore of Babylon, and displayed an immense hatred for Protestants (like Integra) as a reference to the long history of hatred between the two. In the first episode of Hellsing Ultimate, some of Anderson's statements heavily imply a hatred for all non-Catholics. Anderson tells a pair of young boys that they should only engage in violence against "monsters and non-believers," and comments to his superiors that it is fortunate that a large vampire population must be killing many English Protestants. Anderson resents the control of England over Northern Ireland, which he believes is Catholic territory, and states that it is his mission to kill non-believers. Despite this, it is shown that he will become angry when innocent people are killed, despite their beliefs. In Order 3: Sword Dancer of Hellsing (anime), Paladin Alexander Anderson's actions are vaguely relativist. He ignores his true mission, and instead focuses on the basic requirements of his crusade; thus, attacking Seras Victoria, Alucard and killing Captain Gareth of the Hellsing Organization, though Gareth was a human being and attempting to exterminate the same target as Alexander Anderson. While his orders from Iscariot specified the extermination of a single rogue vampire, he engages in combat with Alucard as well. In the manga (and by extension, the OVA, which is closer to the manga than the TV series), however, his character is much more complex. In battle, he is merciless and almost unstoppable due to his abilities. He has a habit of hissing during fights, and often loses all control of himself much like Alucard. Despite this, he can stop himself and focus on his mission. He shows a greater sense of morality both in his treatment of the orphans under his care and his eventual assistance to Integra and betrayal of Enrico Maxwell (who becomes drunk with power and starts killing innocent humans), quite unlike the TV series Anderson who is portrayed as little more than a mindless, psychotic killer. In the Manga he normally appears as a calm and collected priest; he works at an orphanage in the manga and OVA and acts very kindly towards the children under his care. His complexity in the manga is later demonstrated by his respect for Integra's conviction and for Seras' bravery. Specifically, he agrees to escort Integra to Hellsing HQ, because it would be impolite to leave a lady to walk there alone. Anderson tells the members of Iscariot to retreat from battle when Alucard releases his familiars, wanting them to live on and protect the Catholic religion; as he believed there already enough souls in limbo. Abilities As Iscariot's "trump card", he is the single greatest warrior the Vatican can bring to bear, and the only known being who can match Alucard's power (albeit when augmented by Helena's Nail). Alucard noted that he was the only one who he'd let defeat him (in accordance to Alucard's own belief that only a man can slay a monster). Superhuman Strength and Speed Anderson possesses extraordinary strength, speed, senses and reflexes, far above what is considered normal for a human. He also possesses a great deal of dexterity (as he can skillfully wield bayonets easily in either hand), agility, coordination, balance and stamina. In the anime, Anderson slices a subway car in two using only his bayonets. In the manga and OVA series he has fought Alucard to a standstill with his bare hands, and had enough strength to throw his bayonets through a tektite composite in order to allow the Level 0 souls summoned by Alucard to break through Maxwell's protective cabin. Anderson's physical strength is immense, being able to stagger a being such as Alucard with a single punch; especially considering Alucard takes high caliber bullets to the chest standing up and is unfazed. Anderson can easily throw bayonets with enough force to pierce human skulls and, as shown in the TV series, can cut through a subway train with little effort. His speed and reflexes are sufficient enough to dodge bullets (not that he would need to thanks to his regeneration), cut through people so quickly that it doesn't even look like he's moving and take even Alucard by surprise. It is unknown if these abilities are a byproduct of his regeneration or are some other form of artificial enhancement. Anderson's skills, like Walter's, may simply be a combination of natural skill and years of fighting experience against supernatural foes (during their final fight, Alucard states how impressed he is with how Anderson had kept his body in top fighting condition for so long, which is similar to how Walter has maintained most of his incredible skills even in old age). It is also likely, however, that Anderson's strength and speed are a result of bio-technological treatment in order to make him more equal to the vampires he hunts, as Integra notes when she locks swords with him in Northern Ireland. Regeneration Father Anderson is a "Regenerator," meaning that he is able to restore any body parts that are damaged or lost and heal himself. He was functionally immortal, which meant he did not age, injuries and illness that would have killed a normal human would heal, and he had a potentially infinite lifespan. This is clearly demonstrated in Episode 3 of the anime; Alucard's bullet enters Anderson's head, but he recovers quickly and appears unscathed. Thanks to his enhanced healing and durability, Anderson is almost completely indestructible. He is able to shrug off automatic-gunfire from multiple simultaneously firing weapons (none of which even pierce his flesh), and even Alucard's explosive silver bullets fired from the casull. Anderson claims that his ability is "the divine gift of God," but later states that it is due to "man's technology." In the manga he calls it a "technique" while Integra calls it bio-technological regeneration (possibly some form of nanotechnology meaning he is cybernectically altered. In certain adaptations, Integra claims Anderson's regenerative powers surpass any known nanotechnology, possibly being divine. Anderson is often considered not entirely human due to this augmentation , and Integra goes so far as to call him a "thing" or a "monster" while in the TV series Alucard states that Anderson is less than human and a "failed science experiment." Still, in the manga and OVA it appears that Alucard considered Anderson human enough to fight monsters (Alucard believes that only humans can destroy "monsters" like himself) because Anderson never sacrificed his humanity when he became a "Regenerator", Anderson never sacrificed his humanity. This is shown when Alucard becomes enraged at Anderson for choosing to use the Nail of Helena on himself, truly becoming a "monster" rather than a man. Though much stronger than the regeneration of most vampires and sometimes even Alucard (depending on which level he's using), Anderson's healing factor is not without its limits. Using the Jackal, which was specifically designed for use against strong regenerators like Anderson, Alucard is able to shoot out a chunk of Anderson's arm which doesn't seem to be able to regenerate. A similar event occurred in the original TV series, during a battle in a subway. Alucard shoots off both of Anderson's arms with the Jackal and they don't regenerate (or regenerates much slower than usual). Anderson is forced to flee, and he is not seen again until the final episode where he is in a crowd watching Alucard fight Incognito. At this point, his arms have been restored (meaning the Jackal may be able to temporarily negate the healing of regenerators). Anderson's eventual demise comes when Alucard rips out Anderson's heart, which is pierced with Helena's Nail. Alucard stated mid-way in their fight that destroying the heart is the only way to kill monsters like themselves. It appears that Anderson's healing, like his bayonets, can be "upgraded" by Iscariot (in the OVA, Integra mentions that Anderson's healing has been upgraded when they first meet, meaning that it is better than what she had previously heard or seen ) for more challenging situations, much like Alucard. Bayonets In battle, Alexander Anderson uses scores of blessed bayonets presumably made of silver as well as smaller blades which are held between his fingers like claws. He wields the bayonets in close-combat (one in each hand) like swords and can also throw them with alarming accuracy (especially considering that he often throws the bayonets in large numbers, usually holding them between his fingers). It is possible that Anderson can control the bayonet's trajectory after he throws them, ensuring that they hit their target. An example of this is in OVA I when Anderson was able to impale Seras with multiple bayonets, while walking down the stairs from the upper level which was around the corner of the hallway. Some of the bayonets are shown to have hand guards in the manga and TV series. The type of he uses most appear to be Austrian sword bayonets, with custom hand grips for an easier hold. Anderson can also throw bayonets at alarming speeds, enough to cause sonic booms and shatter windows. Anderson can also throw bayonets at alarming speeds, enough to cause sonic booms and shatter windows. The power of the bayonets against vampires seem to vary. In Volume 1, the bayonets irritate and sting vampires, but in Volume 6 they are so powerful that vampires literally crumble around them. One possible explanation for this would be that he never stabbed Seras Victoria in the heart when he attacked her in Volume 1, as he wanted to enjoy his "hunt." Seras was severely wounded and kept from regenerating but she could not be killed unless her heart was pierced; so Anderson may have simply stabbed the vampires in Volume 6 right through the heart in order to kill them quickly rather than just wound them like Seras. Another explanation would be that Anderson is simply equipped with more powerful bayonets by Iscariot for more dangerous situations. Anderson may also have different types of bayonets for certain situations, for instance in volume 8 he hurls a chain of bayonets that seems to explode and destroy swarms of Alucard's familiars in an instant. In OVA VIII, Anderson calls this device the Exploding Chain (爆導鎖, Bakutōsa; literally translated as "Blasting Sword Chain" in the original Japanese dub). Oddly enough, he never showed any limit to the size of bayonets that he can pull out of his coat, as he has some that are smaller than daggers and others that are bigger than swords. Strangely it's s never been said how many bayonets he can throw or pull out his coat and sleeves, which also, doesn't show any sign of pockets or hilts keeping the blades. This can be seen as in most fights, where his coat waves madly in the wind or in fast movements, showing clear sign of its inner sides. Whether he can summon an endless number of bayonets, they are concealed with some sort of holy power or can be generated by nano-technology in his clothing remains unknown. Hirano claims something among the lines of Anderson being '4th-dimensional. Holy Barriers and Consecration Anderson was capable of using small bayonets in the TV series to affix pages of scripture onto the walls of a building, in order to "purify" the house and prevent any usage of black magic. In the manga and OVA, this ability is referred to as a "barrier," the pages are stapled to walls using nails and act more like a ward against vampires. Seras, specifically, could not escape through a door or window blocked by this barrier. Anderson can also use Bible pages to teleport, though how far he can travel has not been made official. In the TV series, Anderson was also shown to use Bible pages in order to trap Alucard. Specifically, he used them to entangle Alucard's arms before slicing his head off. The Nail of Helena Alexander Anderson receives "Helena's Nail" from Section III Matthew, the Vatican's relic retrieval division. Discovered by Helena, Constantine's mother, it is said to be one of the nails of the True Cross. In fact, in the dub, Alucard remarks with hostility that the nail smells 'of blood and miracle.' Anderson stabs himself in the heart with it and he became, in the words of Alucard, 'one of God's monsters.' He also said that he turned himself into 'a scrap of miracle' using a 'scrap of miracle.' Anderson displayed some peculiar plant-related powers, and has shown himself to be powerful enough to stop the Jackal's bullets with his thorns. Also, it appears Anderson's blades were now powerful enough to affect even Alucard's immortality. Anderson's regeneration seems to have been further enhanced, his body growing the same thorny vines where he was injured, and he was only killed when he had his heart, where the Nail had been driven, ripped out of him. In addition, these vines can wrap themselves around his foes and cause injury, and instantly ignite all things "unholy" or "satanic," causing them to erupt in flames. Anderson's face and likely all of his fleshy body were transformed into a humanoid mass of thorny vines. Alucard noted a relationship between these thorns and Christ's Crown of Thorns. The use of the Nail prompted Alucard to officially label Anderson a monster rather than a human. Alucard states that the monster who acknowledges God is no different than a monster who doesn't, they are both one in the same: monsters. Alucard would have been proud to die at the hands of a human, but Anderson was no longer human after the Nail was embedded into his heart so he had to be destroyed like any other monster. WHO WILL WIN??? WOLVERINE OR ANDERSON?
NerdBattle: Black Panther vs. Master Chief
Battlefield: A Jungle No Prep No Backup Both Bloodlusted BLACK PANTHER POWERS Black Panther Knowledge: He now has the power to draw all the knowledge, strength, and every experience from every previous Black Panther. Superhuman Acute Senses: T'Challa can see with greater clarity and greater distances than an ordinary human. His vision extends into the ultraviolet and infrared areas of the electromagnetic spectrum, allowing him to see in near-total darkness and retain the same level of clarity[147]. T'Challa's hearing is similarly enhanced, enabling him to detect sounds normal humans can't and sounds they ordinarily could but at much greater distances. T'Challa can memorize tens of thousands of scents. His sense of smell enables him to recognize people/objects by scent, even if they are well hidden. He can track a target by scent and track them to the exact location, can smell fear, and detect if someone is lying by change in body odor. T'Challa's sense of taste is sensitive to the point that he is able to taste the exact ingredients of any particular food he is eating. Superhuman Strength: T'Challa has received a blessing from the Panther Goddess Bast, which elevated his strength to superhuman levels. His physical strength is between 800 lbs and 2 tons [148]; although the full limits aren't known. Superhuman Speed: T'Challa is able to run and move at speeds superior to those of any Olympic athlete, and is capable of reaching speeds of 40 mph. He has the ability to attack faster than the eye can follow. His combat speed seems more enhanced then anything else, as he has frequently kept up with other enemies in combat, and blitzed people before they pull their trigger fingers[149]. Superhuman Stamina: T'Challa's body eliminates the excessive build-up of fatigue-producing poisons in his muscles and his musculature generates considerably less fatigue toxins than the muscles of an ordinary human being, granting him superhuman levels of stamina, exceptional endurance, and lung capacity; in all physical activities. His lung capacity is at peak human level enabling him to hold breath for 6 minutes under water, making his lungs as healthy as human's lungs can get. He can physically exert himself at peak capacity for several hours before fatigue toxins begin to impair him. Superhuman Durability: T'Challa's skin, bone, and muscle tissues are augmented to levels that are considerably stronger and harder than human and the tissues are impervious to injury to an extraordinary extent[150]. Superhuman Healing: T'Challa's is able to regenerate injured tissue and brain cells to an extraordinary degree, heal broken bones, torn muscles, but is unable to regenerate missing limbs or organs. Is immune to all Earthly diseases, infections and disorders, he's impervious to gas attacks, poisons, and nerve-toxins of any kind and completely resistant to diseases [151]. Superhuman Agility: T'Challa's agility, balance, flexibility, dexterity, and bodily coordination are enhanced to levels that are beyond the natural physical limits of an Olympic gold medalist. He has the combined agility and acrobatic prowess of the most accomplished circus aerialists and acrobats. Superhuman Reflexes: T'Challa's reaction time is superior to that of any Olympic athlete that has ever competed. His reflexes are so efficient that he can dodge and deflect point blank gun fire, dodge bullets from machine guns and sniper rifles. Captain America once stated that he's faster than the creature he was named after [152]. Abilities Super-Genius Intelligence: T'Challa is also a polymath genius and has an eidetic (aka photographic) memory[citation needed]. His genius is as such that he is one of the eight smartest people on Earth.[154] He possesses accomplishments such as a PhD in physics from Oxford University. He also combined alchemy with science to create a new scientific field called Shadow Physics, a dangerous discipline which allowed him to track Vibranium on a quantum level, craft weapons which would be particularly effective against Vibranium, and create an unstable teleportation device which at the time ripped apart anyone using it with great healing ability. Master Martial Artist: He has been groomed to be a warrior from birth. An expert in practically all forms of armed and unarmed combat, and a master of all martial arts including African and unknown forms. He is a master of stealth, disguise etc. He is considered to be one of the best martial artists to have ever walked the Earth. This is evident by him being able to stalemate and even gain the upper hand at times against opponents such as Captain America, Daredevil etc. in hand to hand fights to an extent that in his full potential, he was able to defeat Captain America in a few moves, and overpower Wolverine twice without much difficulty, even when Wolverine was using his claws. Captain America himself said that when he one won against TChalla, TChalla was not his usual self, seeming weaker than he actually was. Weapons Master: The Panther has mastered all known weapons. Master Acrobat: TChalla is a rigorously trained gymnast and acrobat. Expert Marksman: He is a master marksman adept with hunting knives, firearms, and other projectile weaponry. Master Tactician: TChalla is a genius tactician, strategist, and leader who is practically peerless. He was taught tactics and strategies in his youth by his father who encouraged him to always think two steps ahead of his enemies and three steps ahead of his friends. His prowess is such that he is able to out think and out maneuver individuals such as Tony Stark, and other geniuses.[155] Expert Tracker Hunter: Even without his superhuman senses, he is a master tracker and hunter. He can pick up a preys scent and memorize tens of thousands of individual ones. Multilingual: TChalla can fluently speak his native language, English, and other various languages. Master Inventor: He can invent various devices with special properties when needed. While not all of his inventions are as good as others made by Tony Stark and so on, he possesses engineering abilities and intellect that makes him a peer and has proven to be able to invent and create weaponry that rivals their engineering capabilities. TChalla can also duplicate practically any other technologies after learning how they work or by glancing at the designs. Highly Influential Connections: As king of Wakanda, the Panther has access to a vast collection of magical artifacts, technological and military hardware, as well as the support of his nations wide array of scientists, adventurers, and superheroes. Diplomatic Immunity: As the leader of a sovereign nation, He often visits the United States or the United Nations for political reasons. He enjoys diplomatic immunity during these trips, and his embassy is considered foreign soil. STRENGTH LEVEL Black Panther has demonstrated exceptional feats of strength like wrestling down a Rhino and breaking its neck, knocking out a Polar Bear, stopping a Elephants charge, sending Namor flying with a kick despite his opponents superhuman durability, destroying a water mill by bracing himself on the ground and flexing his muscles, even killing a T-Rex dinosaur while using a palm tree as a catapult while in a weakened state. Hes classed at the peak of human potential. Marvel handbooks class him strong enough to lift 800 lbs. As with all his powers/abilities, his strength has been enhanced by the Panther Goddess, but to what extent is unknown. WEAKNESSES In spite of his enhancements, TChalla is still an ordinary human being. He is susceptible to some of the same vulnerabilities other normal humans are. Due to his heightened senses, bright lights, loud noises, strong smells can potentially overwhelm him. EQUIPMENT Kimoyo Card: An extremely powerful and versatile PDA. It functions similarly to the Avengers communicards, but with many more practical applications. In one instance, the Panther called up a schematic of a jumbo jets cockpit controls and took command of the plane, landing the plane safely in a river. Kimoyo is Bantu for of the spirit. Black Panther Suit/Panther Habit : As chieftain of the Wakandan Panther Clan, the ruler is crowned with a ceremonial regalia in the form of a Vibranium laced panther habit. TChalla received this crown-like garb after being judged by the Panther Goddess. The appearance of the suit has changed over time, but has retained its abilities; This uniform has the ability to absorb vibrations via its Vibranium lacing, it can negate and/or lessen powerful kinetic based attacks such as bullets shots, penetrating blades, and crushing blows. The lenses in the mask cut glare and enhance the Panthers natural night vision, then lenses also allows him to see in infra-red and other visual spectrum. The suit features: Vibranium Microweave Mesh: The microweave robs incoming objects of their momentum; bullets do not ricochet off, but simply fall to the ground when they come in contact with the weave. Likewise, the Panther cannot be stabbed, however, the costume (and Panther) can be cut if the attacker slashes along the uniforms grain. Combined with his durability, Anti-Metal Claws: Claws in the gloves are made of Antarctic Vibranium-based Anti-Metal that can break down basically all metals at the molecular level .The claws also have the ability to emit small energy blades from the tip as well as launch them as projectiles. Energy-Dampening Boots: Energy regulators create varying fields from the Vibranium in the molded soles of the boots, enabling Panther to survive a fall of several stories and land like a cat. Given enough momentum, the Panther can also scale walls or skim across water. The field can be also used offensively to shatter or weaken objects, or defensively to rob incoming objects of their momentum as shown when he stopped a car thrown by the hulk from crushing him by using the Vibranium in his boots. Cloaking Technology: The cloak can be elongated, shortened or eliminated with a thought, and the entire costume can be covered allowing it to pass as normal street clothes or render TChalla completely invisible. Teleportation device:TChalla has also been show using a teleportation device as part of his standard gear[119]. The range is not known as of this moment. Hard-Light Shielding: TChalla was shown using a small shield comprised of hardened light, to defend himself and others as part of his standard gear[119]. Vibranium Energy Daggers: with an ornate hilt carved of ivory or some kind of stone, and an energy-generated blade that can be set to stun or kill. The energy blades can be handled like either a physical knife or fired like darts, and regenerated repeatedly. They can also be shaped into other various weapons like scythes or a spear. Heavenly Armor: Lightweight body armor covering the user from head to toe in a similar fashion as Iron Man that operates by thought. It offers flight at high speeds, enhanced strength, and more protection in combat. The armor provides protection against mystical attacks, and is equipped with various weapons Vibranium Armor: An special armor used during the Superhuman Civil War. MASTER CHIEF Personality I guess some of your luck has rubbed off on me. Dr. Halsey We make our own luck, but Ill always be there when you need me. John-117[54] The personality of John is explored much more deeply in the books than the games. This is in order that players can more easily project their own personalities onto John-117. As a child, John strove to win at any situation, at all costs. This seems to have been a part of his character even prior to his conscription to the Spartan program, as he pushed himself to win at any game he played, including chess, gravball or King of the Hill.[55] As his career progressed, he transformed his desire to achieve personal victory to a desire to achieve victory for his squad and, by extension, humanity as a whole. John is tenacious to complete any mission at hand, and often disregards his personal safety in order to win. Indeed, he has often emerged victorious from situations many would consider impossible. Though even a Spartan is not devoid of fear, John simply acknowledges it and puts it aside, while never openly showing it.[56] He is not shy about expressing caution, however, as shown in his first encounter with the Gravemind. John is generally stoic and taciturn, but not devoid of a sense of humor. He often makes dry remarks about the situation at hand, but this seems to be more frequent when interacting with Cortana than anyone else, such as other Spartans. John is also known as a man of his word and will strive to keep any promise he makes, even at great personal risk. As he was forced to leave Cortana behind on High Charity, John promised to come back for her after dealing with the Prophet of Truth. Cortana chided him not to make a promise when he knew he couldnt keep it. However, despite incredible odds, John did keep his promise, as he fought his way through the Flood into High Charity to retrieve her. Upon finding her, Cortana was in a weak and damaged state. Nearing rampancy, John-117 told her, You know me. When I make a promise… to which Cortana replied You keep it. This encouragement gave her the strength to compose herself after enduring the mental tortures of the Gravemind. John holds great personal respect for his trainer and mentor Chief Petty Officer Mendez, as well as Dr. Halsey, who he considers a mother-like figure. He appears to deny Halseys claims about his extraordinary luck at several points in the Halo Legends episode The Package. In a strange twist of fate, one of Johns closests friendships was with the construct Cortana, an artificial intelligence born from the mind of Dr. Halsey herself. Cortana was initially assigned to him for his mission to capture the Covenant Prophets. Despite some initial hesitation towards working with an AI out of fear of conflicting directives, John and Cortana quickly formed a formidable team and John realized quickly that Cortana would be a great help instead of a liability. The twos relationship evolved from a partnership to a close friendship over the course of Halo: Combat Evolved, due both the duration of the mission and the life-or-death situations they struggled through. During their adventures, John showed absolute trust in Cortana, believing in her even when Lord Hood was unsure of her reliability, being willing to trust her enough to risk Earth on her word that she had a way to stop the Flood. The two also had similar personalities: they both had a propensity to blow things up, with John commenting he wasnt sure which one of them was better at it. The pair also tended to enjoy executing high risk plans. After Cortana explained to John his strategy to use a disabled bomb to blow up a Covenant Carrier was crazy, he offered to leave her behind. Instead, she quipped, Unfortunately for us both, I like crazy. When Cortana begins to go rampant, John becomes desperate to find a way to save her. Her absolute loyalty to him is shown when she restrains the Ur-Didact to save him, telling The Didact when he asks why shes helping humanity Im not doing this for mankind, showing shes helping out of loyalty to John. Cortana sacrifices herself to save John and he is clearly devastated by her death, though he gets to say a goodbye to her in which she can finally touch him, something she has always wanted to do. Although John has difficulty understanding the undisciplined lifestyle of civilians, he is fiercely protective of their lives and humanity as a whole. The mass slaughter of civilians at the hands of the Covenant was enough to drive even the stoic John into a cold rage. After the massacre of Draco III, John and his Spartans remained on-site until every Covenant soldier responsible for the atrocity was dead. John is known to show an exceptional care for soldiers under his command, while at times viewing them as a liability rather than an asset (more out of fear and concern for them than for himself). By 2552, after his experiences on Halo, John acknowledged to Corporal Locklear that, armor and enhancements aside, there was little difference between a normal soldier and himself. This is not to say that John was previously without compassion. During the Battle of Installation 04, when searching for the survivors of the Pillar of Autumn, a Marine named Fitzgerald was wounded by a Grunt with a Needler. John-117 retrieved a first aid kit and expertly treated the wound, taking time to ask the Marine if he was alright. By 2552, most members of the UNSC held John-117 in complete awe, even among his Spartan comrades. His exploits and prowess quickly made him a legend in his own time, and his mere presence on a battlefield was enough to inspire the hope of victory regardless of the odds. Despite his life of military indoctrination, John is not entirely submissive to command. On multiple occasions John has directly disobeyed protocol, and even superior officers that contradicted what he personally thought was right. On the UNSC Gettysburg during Operation: FIRST STRIKE, Dr. Halsey decided to test his morality by giving him two data chips, one containing information regarding Avery Johnsons immunity to the Flood, which would surely lead to his dissection by ONI with little chance of replicating his immunity. The other was missing this data, and John originally planned to sacrifice his friend in accordance with directive, but realized that one man can make a difference, and crushed the complete record into dust. Later in 2557 when John and Cortana made their way aboard the UNSC Infinity, after Cortanas rampant outburst surprising everyone in the room, Captain Andrew Del Rio acted on his resentment of John-117 for questioning his orders to flee Requiem and subsequently ordered that Cortana be destroyed. Before Commander Lasky could retrieve her, without hesitation John did so first, displaying his unflinching loyalty to Cortana, and that not even the UNSC would stop him from doing everything in his power to save her. Del Rio personally ordered John to hand her over, but he refused, responding, no, sir. After the infuriated Captain ordered his arrest, Commander Sarah Palmer refused to act, and John-117 promptly left Infinity in a Pelican Gunship to stay behind on Requiem to stop the Didact. Age Johns age is affected by the same ambiguities as all beings who undergo extended voyages through space. By technical human Earth years, John is approximately 46 years old in 2557; this provides an upper limit of sorts - he is no older than 46. However, during the 27 Earth years that he has spent fighting the Covenant, considerable time was spent in slipspace. He also spent four years, seven months, and ten days in cryonic stasis stranded aboard the UNSC Forward Unto Dawn from 2552 to 2557. The aging process is slowed in slipspace by cryonic stasis chambers; in which cellular aging can be halted almost completely. Also, one could expect that individuals participating in slipspace travel might be subject to the time dilation associated with travel at relativistic speeds, so there could be more discrepancy involved there as well. It should also be noted that while no direct correlation can be made between his age and the events on Requiem, there exists the possibility that when the Librarian altered Johns evolutionary process, it may have affected the aging process as well as a number of other physiological functions within him. All these factors contribute to a very mixed and inaccurate estimation of his age. Appearance Until the release of Halo 4, John-117s face has never been seen in the games, and therefore his appearance is left mostly to ones imagination. The novels Halo: The Fall of Reach and Halo: The Flood give some insight to Johns appearance. Early in Halo: The Fall of Reach, when Dr. Catherine Halsey and Lieutenant Jacob Keyes go to Eridanus II to observe John as a child, he is described as a typical six-year-old male, with tousled brown hair and a sly smile that revealed a gap between his front teeth.[57] In Halo: The Flood, referring to John in 2552, he is described as having Short hair, with serious eyes, a firm mouth, and a strong jaw. He is described as being unnaturally pale, a consequence of spending most of his time in his armor.[58] In the ending cutscene of Halo: Combat Evolved, John takes off his helmet, and the camera pans upward, leaving the head obscured by the ship window frame as he sets the helmet to his side. Some people have used Halo: Custom Edition development mode to move the camera. However, Bungies 3D artists did not produce a separate character model for this occasion, just a separate helmet model; if the animation is viewed from inside the ship, it appears as if John takes off his helmet, revealing an identical helmet underneath. Players have also found an Easter Egg in the Halo 3 Beta. Using a Mongoose, players can reveal what looks like a face in a Spartans helmet. However, Bungie has confirmed that this is Marcus R. Lehtos face, not Johns.[citation needed] For the first time, Johns face was shown without a helmet in Halo: Helljumper Issue 1. The comic illustrated the fight between John and four ODSTs. As expected, his face is seen from the side and is covered up in shadow, hiding any specific facial features. Johns face can be seen clearly on the front cover of Halo: Fall of Reach - Boot Camp Issue One as a six year old child. Johns face as seen in the Legendary ending of Halo 4. In Bungies Happy Halodays 2010 holiday card, the back of John-117s head can be seen since he is not wearing his helmet, in which he has dark brown hair. Franchise development director Frank OConnor gave a description of Master Chiefs appearance on October 9 in an interview with GameTrailers: an older man, almost painfully pale, almost albino white, with pale blue eyes, reddish hair, close cropped to a skin head, and maybe the last remnants of freckles he had when he was a kid. He also confirmed that Halo 4 would not actually depict Master Chiefs appearance. This, however, is somewhat false, since in the Legendary ending of Halo 4, in the end of the epilogue, John is shown walking into a large hall which consists of Spartan-IVs, and has his armor removed. As his helmet is removed, the camera pans into his eyes so a part of his face is shown, consisting of the description given by Frank OConnor WHO WILL WIN??
NerdBattle! Ken Kaneki vs. Spiderman
Battlefield: Times Square Prep: None No Backup Situation: Kaneki is on the hunt for humans and corners one in an alley. As he's about to devour them, Spiderman interferes. POWERS AND ABILITIES As a human, Kaneki was weak with a feeble body that has neither muscles nor flexibility. He had poor reflexes, reflecting his terrible athletic skills, which did not improve during his early days as a ghoul. Despite this, he is shown to be very adaptive and a quick learner. He is highly intelligent, having the ability of learning martial arts in a short period of time through instructional books and strict training from Touka and Yomo, making him a competent fighter above the average level. Despite the surgery, Kaneki seems to lack the sense of smell other ghouls have that can differentiate between humans and ghouls; he is also shown to be unaffected by ghoul-detecting machines. After being tortured by Yakumo Oomori and accepting his ghoul side, all the knowledge and skills he learnt are put to use. Kaneki became capable of easily dodging and countering quick attacks with his greatly enhanced reflexes and strength. Such abilities made him capable of defeating Yamori, a half kakuja, and Ayato with relative ease despite both being S-Rated ghouls. His regenerative ability was greatly enhanced as well, being able to heal a broken leg or large flesh wounds in a matter of seconds. Kaneki is also a tactical combatant and uses his intelligence and improvisational abilities to allow him to challenge foes far more powerful than himself. As Haise Sasaki, he is a skilled Investigator -- having managed to climb the ranks from Rank 3 to Rank 1 within as few as two years with only minimal use of his ghoul abilities. He has received training from Kishou Arima and Akira Mado, both considered exceptional Investigators that have molded him into a talented individual. Akira describes him as an Ace, and his skill earned him the illustrious White Wing Medal. As an Investigator, he shows great competence in criminal investigations and is a strong combatant in battle. Haise was noted by Associate Special Class Ato to have similar movement with Arima, which is likely due to their sparring sessions. After accepting his original identity, he is able to fight on par against Seidou Takizawa, an SS-rated ghoul and incomplete Kakuja. He has also been able to wield both his Kagune and Quinque with amazing efficiency, shown when fighting against Hooguro and Shousei. He is shown to be able to fully control his kagune without losing control after accepting original Kaneki personality. After recovering more memories he was able to effortlessly defeat Kanae despite the modification she gained from Eto. He is shown being able not only to damage, but to pierce Eto through her kakuja, cutting her in half right afterwards. Besides Arima, he is the only character up to date capable of besting Eto in combat. Master Swordsman: As Described by Takeomi, Haise's swordsmanship is considered to flow as swift as water, as he is able to go toe to toe with Serpent with minimal use of his kagune and is able to slice ghouls with considerable skill while using a B-Rated Sword quinque such as Yukimura 1/3. QUINQUE Yukimura 1/3 : This Koukaku type Quinque was presumably passed down to him from Arima, and resembles a long blade without a hilt. He wields it with considerable skill, easily slicing through the kagune of a ghoul with minimal effort. KAGUNE Rinkaku: After the organ transplant, Kaneki inherited Rize's kagune which is special because of its abnormal regenerating factor even among the Rinkaku types.[9] While his body is soft and fragile, his Kagune focuses on providing enough brute force to take down even the toughest enemies. The amount of tentacles that Kaneki can create and control increases over the course of the series, being able to create three at the start of the series, four after being tortured by Yamori, six during the raid of Kanou's lab and since his battle with Arima Kishou, his Kagune can produce up to eight tentacle claws that provide him with blades strong enough to cut or pierce a Kakuja.[85] Notably, Kaneki never used more than four tentacles at a time while mentally stable. Years later the number has increased to six.[86] In :re as Haise Sasaki, he was shown to have more control over his kagune as he could combine them to form a three clawed hand and command at least five to do different tasks independent of each other, as shown in his fight against Serpent. He has also been shown using his kagune to rapidly scale large buildings. Sasaki has been noted by Koori Ui as having better control over his kagune than natural-born ghouls.[87] After he "awakens" during his fight with Kanae von Rosewald, Sasaki has shown the ability to shape his kagune into more intricate forms, such as a skeletal arm or a mass of branching limbs.[65] After partially devouring the Owl's kakuja, his kagune can now form eyes and mouths which have the ability to speak much like the One-Eyed Owl's. Kakuja: After consuming Yamori's Kakuja and various other ghouls and their Kagune, Kaneki obtained an incomplete-Kakuja after his confrontation with Doctor Kanou. Kaneki's Kakuja armor are twin centipede-like tails protruding downwards from his back. The massive tails also have sharp talons on the side. In this form Kaneki's kakuja forms a mask that features a hole for his left eye and a bird's beak over the middle of his face. They provide Kaneki with enough power to even overwhelm Shinohara's Arata β 0.8. In this form Kaneki was strong enough to fight on par against Amon who was using Arata proto two and managed to severely injure him by ripping his arm off. As an incomplete kakuja, Kaneki's loses all aspects of his personality when using this form and as a result fights like a psychotic berserker. Due to this, Kaneki only uses his Kakuja form in the direst of situations. After consuming Eto's kakuhou, Kaneki's kakuja form now bears certain similarities to Noro's kagune, sprouting several tentacles with mouths capable of speaking. He can now transform both of his arms into large claws with various mouths covering them. His kakuja mask has changed and now slightly resembles a European Dragon. However the mask can change shape depending on Kaneki's state of mind. He has demonstrated the ability to change the length and shape of his arms in order to adapt to situations more efficiently. In his fight with Arima, Kaneki's kakuja strike is capable of completely destroying IXA in a single, powerful blow.[79]. As of chapter Re: Chapter 76 after regenerating from his wounds Kaneki forms an almost complete kakuja in the shape of body armour with four to six spines jutting out of his back. His arms in this form are distinctly reptilian and can be transformed into structures such as claws and blades to suit his combat needs. Due to now being a stabilized kakuja he retains his personality and sanity. In Tokyo Ghoul √A, he can deploy his Rinkaku alongside it, albeit in a deteriorating form. However, it seems Kaneki cannot control the kakuja and sometimes releases it unwillingly, causing him a great amount of pain in the process. POWERS Spider Physiology: Due to the Spider bite, Peter received powers similar to those of a common household spider. These include: Wall-Crawling: Peter has the ability to stick to any surface, no matter how rough or slippery. Although this ability is still a bit of a mystery to him, he believes his molecules somehow bond to the surface of whatever he wills. Once he does cling to a surface, nothing can pull him away unless he releases his bond. Superhuman Strength: Peter has the proportional strength of a Spider. This allows him to lift 10 tons. Superhuman Speed: Peter is as fast as any Olympic runner, if not faster. Superhuman Stamina: While perhaps not to the extent of other heroes, Peter possesses exceptional stamina. Being capable of holding his breath for minutes at a time, among other things. Superhuman Durability: Peter is able to withstand a lot of damage. Most of which would kill any normal human. Superhuman Agility: Peter is also extremely agile. Not only among human standards, but in the superhero community as well. Being able to contort to dodge bullets, or whatever an villain might use against him. Superhuman Equilibrium: Peter has near perfect balance and coordination. Superhuman Reflexes: Partly due to his 'Spider-sense', Peter can usually react quick enough to dodge nearly anything. Superhuman Jumping: Peter is able to leap multiple stories in a single bound, which is thought to be proportional to a jumping spider. Regenerative Healing Factor: Peter has an extremely advanced healing factor, being able to recover from injuries in days that would take an average human weeks. Foreign Chemical Resistance: Peter is extremely resistant to things like poisons and other potentially harmful substances. Spider-Sense: Peter possesses a precognitive 'spider-sense' that warns him of imminent danger through a buzzing sensation in the back of his head that varies in intensity depending on how imminent and particularly dangerous the threat is. Being able to detect anything from flying bullets to tainted meat, and even the well being of others, this extra sense is also a bit of a mystery. It does, however, seem to be a product of some kind of psychic ability. ABILITIES Genius-level Intellect: Peter is very smart, shown to think on his feet while in tight spots and has made various inventions and new suits to help him in a given situation. Skilled Photographer: While he worked for the Daily Bugle, Peter was a photographer that took pictures of Spider-Man that he sold to J. Jonah Jameson. Master Acrobat: Due to his spider-bite, Peter has shown excellent acrobatic skills over the years. Skilled Combatant: Peter has much training from Captain America and many other Marvel heroes including Shang-Chi, who helped him devise a special martial art called "Way of the Spider" which adapts his normal abilities, giving him a fighting style all his own. Peter has bested Spider-Woman, the entire Fantastic Four, Wolverine, Red Hulk and Hulk.
