Netflix's show MINDHUNTER is a dramatized retelling of true events related to murders in America.
Season 1 followed investigators as they revolutioniz criminal psychology by using what they already knew to create a 'profile' of what their invisible murderers could be. For example, he's probably a male that is quiet but has a few friends. Probably went to university, might have an accent, etc. The only problem is that they need to interview serial killers in order to build their theories, but serial killers arent the most trustworthy people to base data on...right?
To be honest, the first season took me a little bit to get into because they threw in this random love story bit that had no business being there, but once you get through the first 2 episodes you'll be sucked in!
Season 2 is going to dive into a notorious name: Charles Manson along with the Atlanta Child Murders.
According to Indiewire: Season 1 was rooted in the early days of criminal profiling, but with this new season, we are now entering an era where discussions around criminal behavior became more widely understood — making Holden and Trench’s operation, heretofore relegated to a basement, more legitimate.
It hits Netflix August 19 and I can't wait!
