Inspiring Movies That Will Refresh Your Week!
Friends, sorry I haven't been writing lately. It was a rough work week for me. I was spending a lot of time on a project and it got to the point where I wanted to pull my hair out because I could not figure out how to get the result I wanted. Thankfully, near the end of the week everything fell into place and I can finally breath (for now). It happens and I always have to remind myself that it's okay to fail as long as I learn something from the failure.
So here I am thinking about what to do this weekend to revive myself from the tough week. I don't feel like reading (I want to stay away from looking at words). I don't feel like going outside (weather is too cold). I don't want to sleep in (because that's a waste of a day). Movie. Movie it is.
I'm thinking about watching inspiring movies to boost my motivation. I have two movies I want to re-watch but I'm also open for new ones!
If you have any inspiring movie suggestions, send them my way by commenting below!
Also, if you're interesting in watching one this weekend, below are my two favorites. The Intern (2015) Everyone was raving about this movie and I finally saw it last month. It was refreshing, realistic and inspiring. You will immediately connect to the busy lifestyle of Jules (played by Anne Hathaway. She's a millennial, a dreamer, a hard worker. On the surface, she seems like she got it all together. Under the surface, she is struggling with work-life balance. You'll see Jules breakdown during the toughest moment of her career and see how she picks it up with the assistant of an intern (who is a senior citizen).
Lesson: Never underestimate the wisdom of elders. Never give up on your dream. The Fighter (2010) A movie about friendship, brotherhood, and passion. I was never into MMA or sports similar to that but I kind of got into it after watching this movie. I always thought fighter were brutal and they are wasted but this movie gave me a new perspective of what these fighters are going after. Yes, money is one of the drive but beyond that it's passion and dream. You'll get to see Micky Ward's (the main character) journey from the rough streets to world champ!
Lesson: I'm stealing this line from @mchlyang "circumstances don't dictate champions" Have a wonderful week(end) everyone!
