Unpopular K-Drama Opinions
I saw this going around K-drama Amino and wanted to do it myself so here it is! (It's a bit different from my unpopular k-pop opinion card.) Disclaimer: This is not to start a fight, this is to share my opinions on some things in k-drama! Please share yours in the comments. However if you start a fight your comment will be deleted! Popular K-drama I haven't watched: Kill Me, Heal Me Idk when and if I will actually watch this drama. Most popular K-drama I dropped or put on hold: It's a tie this time! Go Go Waikiki This one is hilarious but I started it during my drama slump so I've kept it in my On-Hold list. While You Were Sleeping Idk this drama just ended up being not what I thought it'd be and I dropped it, I have since finished it however I forced myself to. Drama I think is overrated: Moon Lovers: Scarlet Heart Ryeo I mean it was awesome but it wasn't that awesome. I also think Because This Is My First Life is overrated. I heard so many good things about it but yeah...no it was average. Drama I think is better than people say it is: (I have a tie with this one too.) Save Me Such a good plot line and the eerie-ness was great! Also it had such a good cast! Duel God this one deserves so much more attention! (I also think Circle and Age Of Youth are so much better than people lead on!) Drama that is extremely flawed but I still liked it: Ruler: Master of the Mask Maybe it was just my love for Yoo Seungho that made me love this drama? Underrated Drama that I wish more people knew about: (another tie) Liar Game Man this drama was so good! Dr. Frost Character that ruined the enjoyment of the drama: Ji Hong Ah (Temperature of Love) I really wanted to enjoy Temp of Love but (besides the plot line being iffy) Hongah's character was just so irrating!!!! I started to not like Jo Boah but I'm good with her now haha. I love her in Goodbye to Goodbye! Favorite Non-Romance Drama: (Three way tie as non-romance dramas tend to be my thing) Save Me Duel Circle Favorite second female lead: Kim Hwa Goon (Ruler: Master of the Mask) Honestly her character was so much more interesting than the female leads. She was fierce and idk I just liked her. Least favorite second male lead: Park Jung Woo (Temperature of Love) His character was awful. I'm blaming this all on the writer. (Spoiler) He betrayed someone he considered a best friend for a woman who clearly showed no interest in him. Idk he just went too far and I just didn't like him at all. Least favorite K-drama starring one of my favorite actresses: About Time It was so good at first but idk now I'm not too into it. It's not terrible but it's not amazing either. Least favorite K-drama starring one of my favorite actors: (tie since I have like 3 favorite actors, I'll only share two of them) The Great Seducer (Woo Do Hwan) I love Dohwan so much and his acting was amazing in this drama, however I can't say the same for the plot. Dohwan looks so much better in Save Me and Mad Dog. Temperature of Love (Yang Sejong) I was dying to see him in a romance drama and when Temp of Love first came out I loved it, but the plot like ceased to exist at some point and ruined it for me. He looks so much better in Duel. Popular Genre that I don't like: (I have a tie) Law/Historical I say this but I have watched quite a few law dramas and loved them. Those being Remember: War of Son, Suspicious Partner (I liked it a little less than the other's on this list), and I Hear Your Voice. I also really liked a few historical dramas as well. However it takes me a lot to get into them. The historical dramas I've seen are Moonlight Drawn By Clouds, Scarlet Heart Ryeo, Ruler: Master of the Mask, and Hwarang. I only liked three of them because Hwarang in my opinion was awful! I don't like the female actress at all. A drama cliche I wish would disappear: A night out (ex: in the rain) results in a character being bedridden ill. Like come on? I'd be dead now if that really happened? In some cases in makes sense if it's like a supernatural/fantasy drama but in a rom-com or something it just gets annoying! - Okay I'm done!!
