How To Find A Friendship Like #CaKe
Ca (Cara Delevigne) + Ke (Kendall Jenner) = CaKe Cara Delevigne and Kendall Jenner are seriously #FriendshipGoals. They're undoubtedly in love with being the other's best friend and they strongly appreciate each other. They post numerous photos together, they are constantly tweeting about the other, and it's extremely common to find them grace the same magazine covers. They define what it means to be a 'BFF' and they have no problem with documenting it on social media. However, many people are envious of a friendship like "CaKe". So below, I came up with a few signs to know how to create that perfect atmosphere to get some quality bonding time with your best friend. I mean, after all, everyone needs to find their 'person'. Snuggle. Cuddling. Snuggling. Sleepovers. Whatever the case may be, there is nothing wrong with hopping in bed with your best friend and it has nothing to do with being sexual. There are platonic friendships in the world and it's unfair to start claiming relationship assumptions when you just want to bond. Cuddling with the people you love is a very comforting feeling. And you know the entire world was saying "awwwwwww" when they saw CaKe laying in bed together with a genuine exchange in-between. It's not weird, you just have to get comfortable under the covers. Who do you text first? It better be your BFF. The first person on your mind should be your best friend. It's the first person you call when some jerk broke your heart or when you're completely embarrassed. They know all of your secrets and are the only person who understands why you like pineapple on your pizza. You invite them to every social function you attend and it's bizarre if they're not an assumed plus one. They're your other half and you are more invested with what your best friend thinks about you than your significant other. At the end of the day, you are their number one friend on snapchat and your 150 day streak is there to prove it. Hugs are meant for greetings. Show some love. Some best friends are more affectionate than others but between CaKe, they're really isn't a distinction between lovers and best friends. They just love each other a lot and they have no issue with showing it. Greeting your best friend is the happiest moment and leaving them is terrifying. You can cry on their shoulder or laugh directly in their face. Caressing your best friend laying on the floor is completely acceptable. Party for two. Always. There is no one on the planet who you'd rather share your french fries with. You'll both compare your food babies while discussing how you should have never eaten that extra slice of pizza in the first place. You constantly remind the other about how gorgeous they are while stuffing your face with more food. And in CaKe's case, the plate of fries sitting in between them will be devoured within minutes. No shame. No matter where you go, what you do, who you meet...when you realize you miss your best friend, you'll let the world know.
Tyra Banks Confirms Role In Disney's Life-Size Sequel
'Eve's great, no matter where she goes." From the look of it, Eve is coming to a Disney Channel near you. How great is that? Growing up, some looked up to Tyra Banks while others looked up to Eve. I was a huge fan of Eve and the Disney original movie, Life Size. Not only was the message behind the movie amazing, but let's not forget Eve's amazing sense of style. Well I mean, she was a Barbie after all. Tyra Banks expressed her excitement for the sequel while chatting with Variety Mag saying, “There is no one else that can play Eve but me, thank you very much! I’m just joking with you, but yes, I am going to be Eve.” If you've never seen the original Life Size, you're truly missing out. According to Variety, "The original made-for-TV movie “Life-Size” centered around a Barbie-like doll, Eve (played by Banks), who comes to life when a young grieving girl (Lohan) accidentally casts a spell, in an effort to resurrect her late mother. The fantasy comedy came as an 11-year-old Lohan broke into superstardom, following “The Parent Trap” and before pop culture phenomenons “Freaky Friday” and “Mean Girls.”" There is no word of Lohan being in the sequel, but only time will tell. I mean, as long as we have the original Eve than all is well in my opinion. It looks like the sequel will be released late next year, but no need to fret -- ass we all know time flies. Literally. So, in the meantime check out the original and bask in Eve's amazing fashion and quirky ways. Eve fans near and far. Are you excited for this sequel?
Tyra Banks Hid Weight Gain from Victoria's Secret During Her Career
Even Tyra Banks likes to eat a cheeseburger. Tyra Banks, one of the most iconic supermodels of all time, sat down with People magazine to expose her career secrets. When discussing her career with lingerie mega-corporation, Victoria's Secret, Banks explained how she would hide her weight for shoots since she was kept under strict regulations for her appearance. "When I would gain weight and I had a big Victoria's Secret shoot, say they wanted me to shoot the cover of the swimsuit issue, I would just make my hair bigger to make my booty look smaller. I would be like, 'I ate burgers for two months, and my a** is 10 lbs. heavier,' so I would tell my hairdresser to clip more tracks in and tease it up!" Victoria's Secret hasn't changed at all since Banks walked their famous runway show. The company still doesn't hire curvy or plus size models and hasn't budged. Banks made one of her grandest body positivity comments on her talk show a few years ago when she said directly to the haters, "Kiss my fat ass!" Not only did she get wide media praise but it also showed the climax of her talk show career. Banks never forgets her restrictions, "It's a funny story, but Victoria's Secret places notoriously strict limitations upon the Angels: prospective models must be 5-foot-9 with desired measurements around 34''-24''-34''. Recently, Banks did a photoshoot where she went makeup free without any shame. What do you think of Bank's career with Victoria's Secret?
Model With No Hair Or Teeth Turns A Negative Into A Positive
"If people are trying to bring you down, it only means that you are above them." Melanie Gaydos has officially proven all of those wrong who bullied her growing up. Suffering from a rare disorder known as ectodermal dysplasia, she went through more than most. Melanie explains, "As a child I faced a lot of bullying and a lot of people stared at me . . . I was really depressed and suicidal; I didn't really want to live," she told Metro. "I didn't think that I would be alive past the age of 18." Unlike most, she has been able to look past the negative and fully embrace the positive. Due to her disorder, she has lost several teeth, is partially blind, lost her hair due to alopecia [see card here] and doesn't have a typical bone structure -- but despite all of that, she's still absolutely gorgeous. Melanie wanted to better herself and she did just that by continuing her education at Pratt Institute in NYC. That's the moment when her entire life changed. She had dreams she wanted to pursue, but she wasn't sure if they were realistic. Thanks to her boyfriend, he helped me move forward in living out her dreams of becoming a model. In an interview with Yahoo! Style she says, "He helped me to understand that I am the only person who looks like me." She started out doing small gigs and soon realized that this was something she could see herself doing long term. She says, "[My syndrome] doesn't bother me, and it never did," she said. "People used to ask me: how do you eat without teeth? Well, people with no legs run marathons. It's all a matter of perception." Despite all that she has gone through and will continue to go through, Melanie is confident and happy in walk of life. She explains that although she is a role model for those who can relate to her story, she didn't get into modeling to appease others -- she did it for herself. "I didn't start modeling for other people, as selfish as that sounds," she said. "I was doing it for myself. But what I've come to realize is that, in doing it for myself, I'm helping other people become more comfortable with themselves." How amazing is Melanie Gaydos? At the end of the day, do what makes you happy. Make it count.
