The 10 Hottest Kdrama moments without a kiss
We've already celebrated the 10 hottest Kdrama kisses, but coming few and far between, those kisses aren’t what really fuel the majority of the romances in our favorite dramas. The episodes leading up to the big explosion of passion are often filled with sweet moments of tender romance that make our stomachs do somersaults and keep us pushing the “next episode” button. So, now that the weather’s getting cold, let’s celebrate some of these heart-warming moments, shall we? There are so many to choose from, but here are a few of the top tender Kdrama moments: 1.The blow dryer, Personal Taste Sure, it’s kind of impractical and inconvenient, but I’m pretty sure that most Kdrama fans would jump at the chance to have Lee Min Ho blow dry their hair. Oh, and then he gets mesmerized by her neck. Win-win-win-win-win. 2.The flowers, Full House Rain’s character in Full House wasn't always the best at expressing his feelings (okay, that's a major understatement). In fact, when he sends 105 flowers to Ji Eun, she initially asks if it's a symptom of food poisoning. His advance apology flowers show her that he doesn't want to hurt her, and they share a sweet, argument-free moment surrounded by roses. I'm sure I wasn't the only one who wanted to strangle Hye Won when she barged in on the party! 3. The sewing scene, Marry Him If You Dare See, kids? Basic household chores can be fun! This sweet moment gives Mi Rae a glimpse of Kim Shin's inner kindness, and it almost makes the existence of that horrific dress forgivable. Almost. 4. The measurements, Arang and the Magistrate Whoa. Apparently, sewing is the sexiest activity in the world. Who knew? Nothing even really happens in this scene, and it still had me clutching my heart. 5. The phone booth, Queen In Hyun's Man This show was basically one gigantic montage of awwwww-worthy moments, but one that sticks out to me (aside from the fantastic tip-toe kiss, obviously) is when they get caught inside their special phone booth in the rain. The rain goes on and on and on, but they don't mind snuggling and making plans to tour the world together. 6. Reading out loud, The Master's Sun I'm kind of a sucker for people reading anything together, even if they're just legal documents. Even more than that, this scene was symbolic of the growing trust between Gong Sil and Joong Won. He trusted her with his biggest weakness. In return, she was late to her big date with Kang Woo. 7. The library notes, Sungkyunkwan Scandal Love notes inside library books. LIBRARY BOOKS! Alskdfskdhfgfegf. SO MUCH EMOTION. This is every nerd's secret dream. 8. The tango, Scent of a Woman Possibly the hottest non-kissing scene in the history of all Kdrama. Ji Wook uses the tango to prove Yeon Jae's feelings for him, and by the end, I'm pretty sure none of us have any doubts. 9. Cooking lessons, Dating Agency: Cyrano I have a major case of second male lead syndrome when it comes to this show. I can't help it. But who can resist scenes like this one? Yet another mundane chore turned awesome by the power of chemistry. 10. The beach, Goong It feels like it took eleventy bagillion years for the main leads to get together in this series. This short scene of the couple frolicking on the beach was a much-needed break from the palace tension to remind us that this couple really was falling in love. Even as I type this, I can think of about 20 more scenes that I could include on this list. There are just so many good ones to choose from! Which sweet Kdrama moments captured your heart? The 10 hottest KDrama kisses
Korean dramas get a lot of flack for the whole peck-on-the-lips-with-eyes-wide-open kiss thing, and I'm right there with you. However, you should never underestimate the power of the Korean entertainment industry in creating some beautifully romantic (and hot) kisses. Here are my top 10, in no particular order. 1. The Cola Kiss (Lie To Me) Who could forget the reason why half of us girls wanted to be somewhat drenched in sugary beverages with Kang Ji Hwan right in front of us staring at us deeply with those eyes. No...just me? Okay. 2. The Game Over Kiss (Personal Taste) Lee Min Ho. LEE MIN HO. Okay I'll stop. But really how perfect is it when he's like "game over". Ugh, future husband, you've got big shoes to fill. 3. Kitchen Kiss (Answer Me 1997) Oh my Seo In Guk. When he throws his jacket to the ground and just walks towards Jung Eun Ji, my heart stopped, and then they produced this kiss that literally stole my heart. I may have screamed watching this....may have. 4. Pouring Rain Kiss (Playful Kiss) When Jung So Min is stopped mid-sentence because Kim Hyun Joong drops the umbrella and goes in for the kiss, leaving the two drenched in the pouring rain, my feels could not have been contained. Ask my college roommate, she wasn't having my spazzing at all. 5. Candy Kiss (IRIS) I mean really, this kiss changed a generation. Everyone and their mother wanted to move candy between their and their significant other's mouth that it may well be one of the most famous Kdrama kisses ever. 6. Tip Toe Kiss (Queen Inhyun's Man) Seriously one of the best kisses in drama history! I mean why wouldn't it be when the two had the hots for each other while filming? Oh Yoo In Na, you lucky girl! 7. "My Person" Kiss (Gu Family Book) I didn't know what to name this but when Lee Seung Gi says "Don't lay a hand on my person". UGH THE FEELS. I think that accurately explains that. 8. Bed Scene Kiss (Scent of a Woman) Bow Chicka Wow Wow. If the tango scene in this drama didn't set the scene for this kiss, I don't know what did. For those of you who haven't watched this drama, if you're in for a cry and some AMAZING romance, I suggest you do it...now. 9. The "I'm Not Leaving" Kiss (Coffee Prince) YOON EUN HYE. UGH you lucky girl. I mean if this kiss didn't make you want to just....ugh....there are no words. 10. Second Kiss (I Miss You) If this list taught me anything it's that Yoon Eun Hye is living the life I wish I could lead right now. Sigh. Good thing this list stops at 10 otherwise who knows how many more times she would end up on this list. What are your favorite K-drama kisses? "You Who Came From The Stars" Finale: Quick Thoughts + Spoiler Clips
Did the viewers get their happy ending? Or did Song Yi get her happy ending? If you ask the viewers, you’d get mixed reactions because it’s a half happy and half sad finale, and this episode was much more emotional than previous ones that had a decent balance of humor. It could have used the embarrassingly wild and drunk Song Yi. Remember this! LOL. The finale is really not what we expected despite the recent episodes never even hinting at any hope they would be together. If anything, the last couple of weeks spelled doom for their future. So, the day they’ve been dreading arrives: Do Min Joon fades out of existence, and Song Yi, who gets occasional sightings (hallucinations?) of him, mourns for three years. On the night of a major red carpet event, while she does her superstar thing for the cameras, Song Yi realizes time has stopped. Do Min Joon has returned for her. They cap the reunion with the steamiest kiss of the show, and time unfreezes, as photographers and other attendees watch them with surprise … But holy blue balls! He disappears agin! It’s a very WTF moment! And so, it would be like this from time to time: Do Min Joon, wrestling with the laws of physics that human scientists haven’t discovered yet, will pop in and out of Earth … her world. But always, he comes back for Song Yi. It isn’t the most stable of way to be together, but it is better than having him completely out of her life, right? There is a silver lining: he’s able to stay longer each time he reappears :) For the time being, it is what it is … Heh, 400 years he has gone without, and to think that he could just poof out while doing it?! LOL. Speaking of which … I don’t think they’ve resolved the whole exchanging-saliva-will-get-Min Joon-sick problem, and there are a few more unanswered questions. These unresolved issues are left for us to answer in our imagination, which might turn off fans from the finale and the show all together. I know I’d prefer not to have to analyze an ending to come around to liking it. (Okay, I’m still slightly on the fence about the ending because this really was a near perfect drama.) If you want instant gratification, then this ending might not be for you, but I would suggest watching the show with subtitles, reading a few recaps (see Softy’s), then objectively judging the narrative as a logical whole before dismissing the finale. Ultimately, I think the writers allowed the story and the rationale of Do Min Joon’s supernatural existence on Earth to plow the path to the ending, rather than their pen forcefully manufacturing a perfectly, gift-wrapped conclusion.
