Get Familiar: Affordable Zara Perfumes You Need In Your Life
Most of you know Zara for it's amazing, trendy clothing. What most of you don't know is that not only does Zara sell amazing clothing, but it sells some pretty amazing and affordable perfumes as well. While I was being ever so adventurous this summer I stumbled into a Zara retailer just to browse and I came across two walls full of fragrances. I was so surprised and after sniffing at least half of them, I couldn't leave empty handed. I was sold. I'm all for an amazing fragrance, but I'm usually spending ridiculous prices for high end perfumes. Thanks to Zara, I was able to purchase two fragrances for a third of the price I would spend on just one high end perfume. Let's just say it was love at first sight -- or shall I say sniff. I have since purchased quite a few perfumes from the trendy retailer and I make it my duty to spread the word to woman like myself, who seem to spend an arm and a leg on high end perfumes. If you're not familiar with Zara's amazing perfumes, keep scrolling and allow yourself to fall in love. Unfortunately, you can't purchase the perfumes online -- but if you have a retailer near you, I urge you to make your way there as soon as possible. If you're into woodsy scents that are perfect for those cooler months, this fragrance is the one for you. It's the perfect mix of amber with slight notes of fruit making it the perfect combination. Anything white screams pure and fresh. This fragrance features floral notes that are perfect for those warm days and those sexy chilly nights. A little bit goes a long way. If you love the smell of jasmine and magnolia, Zara White would be the perfect match. The great thing about these two fragrances is that you have the option of purchasing them together. Who doesn't love a two for one deal? You get one fruity fragrance and one oriental fragrance. So, technically you're getting the best of both worlds. This was my first Zara perfume and let me just say I fell in love. I was a bit hesitant because I'm not a huge fan of the smell of rose, but I'm so glad I got my hands on this fragrance because it's the perfect mixture of floral and subtle without being too overbearing. When I first stumbled upon this fragrance, I was a bit put off by the name. I was thinking, why in the world would anyone want to smell like apple juice? Thanks to a great friend, I gave this scent a whiff and fell in love. It's the perfect bit of fruity without being too overpowering. If you're not an apple juice drinker, you should definitely give wearing it a try. Don't miss out on a good thing. No need to mention it now, you can thank me later.
Co-ords and Matching Tops & Bottoms: a Trend for Fall
I've raved about the matching top and bottom trend, also known as co-ords, which exploded on the fashion scene this summer. Looking forward to fall, the trend doesn't seem to be disappearing anytime soon. Are you just warming up to the look and hoping to make it work when temperatures drop below 80 degrees? Fear not, because co-ords have only just begun to be relevant and in style. Here are the styles you'll want to wear come fall. Style 1: Crop-tops and culottes or flares. Whether they're palazzo pants, flared trousers, or the coveted culotte, so many retailers are matching swingy pants to cropped tops in a fall-ready version of matching shorts and tops. If you want the simpler version of this style, go for matching solids, but if you're bolder, try a printed pair of flared pants for a super-70's vibe, complete with matching cropped top. Get the look here, here, and here. Style 2: Tunics and trousers. For a sleek and almost 90's style, try a sleeveless silky or knit tunic that hits mid-thigh and a matching pair of straight-leg or flared trousers that drop down under the tunic. It's a more fashion-forward version of the aforementioned crop top and pant, but will still look sexy with bare arms. Add heeled booties to complete the look, and throw a moto jacket over. Get the look here, here, and here. Style 3: Knit skirts and crop-tops. For a bodycon co-ord that you can also wear out at night, try a knit pencil skirt that reaches to (or just past) your knee and a matching top that shows just a sexy sliver of midriff. Transition from summer to early fall with sandals, and then add booties and a jacket when fall is in full force. Get the look here, here, and here. Style 4: Long sleeved tops or jackets and mini skirts. The flirty classic co-ord is a miniskirt and matching top or jacket. It's not like miniskirts cease to exist when the temperatures drop. Most simple a-lines or skirt that are fitted through the hips and flares out will look good year-round over tights. This is a fun and playful style, and you can always seperate the pieces and wear them with other combinations. Get the look here, here, and here. Style 6: Modest and simple (but still chic). Another co-ord for fall (and maybe even winter) is a more covered-up look that swathes you in fabric of one color or pattern. It's a super-sophisticated look that's still cool and fresh. If you want to get this look without buying anything new, try a simple black-on black top and bottoms pairing, match your colorful pieces, or wear a canadian tuxedo with denim in the same wash. Friday Favorites: Weekly Beauty Favorites
Is it just me or have the weeks been flying by this summer? Probably just me, but either way -- it's Friday ladies and you already know what that means. You guessed it! It's time for me to share with you my favorite beauty items of the week. This week has been a great way beauty wise and I must give all thanks to these amazing products that helped my face look somewhat decent. I've been trying to ween myself off of purchasing cosmetics, but last weekend was my birthday so I decided to do a little damage. When the damage is done, there's no turning back and I can't say I'm upset -- these beauty items definitely didn't let me down. Beauty Fave #1: Kat Von D Liquid Lipstick in Requiem I purchased this lipstick on a whim after initially going in to purchase a lipstick they were sold out of. I am extremely pleased that the sales associate persuaded me to get this beautiful matte lavender shade from Kat Von D's Everlasting Liquid Lipstick collection. It dries quickly and literally stays on all day -- maybe that's why it's called everlasting? Clever Kat, clever. Beauty Fave #2: Kiko Cosmetics Eyeshadow in Pearly Wine This is the perfect shade of wine. I'm not much of an eyeshadow wearer, but I am obsessed with this shade and it doubles up as an amazing blush/contour. Beauty Fave #3: Zara Chocolate Perfume For Women This fragrance smells delicious. That's all. I urge you to try it out for yourself, you'll fall in love. Since purchasing, whenever I wear it -- I literally get nothing but compliments. Beauty Fave #4: NARS Matte Lip Pencil in Cruella Thanks to Sephora for such a great birthday gift. This is the perfect shade of red and unlike Ruby Woo, it's very moisturizing -- non-drying and it also lasts all day long. What beauty products helped get you through the week?
