● Go to karaoke. Making fun of yourself is always a turn-on. And you will definitely do that. ● Go antiquing. Who doesn't love sitting on old chairs and hoping they don't break? ● Go to a zoo. Look at all those cute animals! Sure they're also captivated and sad but so cute! ● Go to the botanical gardens. Gorgeous flowers everywhere make everything smell and look amazing. Nothing is better. ● Play board games. Play "Clue" and stop midway through to figure out who took off your pants in the study.

Can't see any whales? Oh well. You have each other. ● Play twister. You know how this ends.

Share recommendations in the sophisticated and cozy environment of knowledge. ● Go to a record store. Have a cute moment sharing headphones to listening to a new album.

● Go to a hookah bar. Because everything is fun when you're high on whatever comes out of a hookah. ● Go to a farmer's market. As long as you're not there just picking up groceries, it's a pretty cute date. ● Get brunch. There's booze, there's food, and you just woke up next to each other. What's not great about that? ● Go to the club. Dressing up like assholes, dancing like assholes, it's a great time. ● Go to a haunted house. If it's scary, it'll bring you closer. If it's cheesy, you can make fun of it which will bring you closer. Win-win.

● Go to the beach. Gorgeous water, lots of sun, and both of you are kind of naked! ● Go skiing. Because it'll make you super cold, which gives you an excuse to warm each other up later. ● Play kickball. Get a bunch of your friends, grab a ball, and hit the park for a simple, but super fun game you can tease each other about later. ● Go to a bed and breakfast. It's like a date inside someone else's house! ● Go to trivia night at a bar. What's more fun than proving you know more than the person you're on a date with? Nothing.

● Go to a sports game. Watch other people win and lose and sit there and judge them. ● Go to the park. Sit on a bench, lay in the grass. You're already imagining yourself there right now and it feels cool, doesn't it? ● Go see a play. Even if it's not good, it's local theater. Sit in the back and make out. ● Go to a water park. You're kind of naked and there are slides! ● Make-out in the backseat of your car. It's like you're 16 again with no curfew and you actually know what you're doing.

Don’t Settle

A really wonderful article from the Huffington Post. It’s something many of us have heard in our lives, I know I have at least. Never settle, always strive for the very best because you deserve to be happy. Settling will only leave you unsatisfied, not because you made the wrong choice but because you’ll never know if there was something better out there which is not a feeling any of us wants to have. One thing that stood out to me was the questions the article poses. Why do we settle in our relationships, both romantic and platonic. Why do we keep toxic or unfulfilling relationships alive rather than seeking out what’s best for us? I think a huge part of what makes us do this is fear of the unknown. Letting go of someone, even someone who’s hurting us is frightening. Even when you have a romantic partner or friend who isn’t giving you what you need, having them there provides a certain stability and letting them go sets you free but also sets you adrift. In the end I do agree that it’s worth it, WELL worth it. Being picky about who and what you include in your life and focusing on enriching your life and yourself will lead you to a much happier ending than settling ever will.

Divergent: Insurgent Trailer

The first teaser trailer for the sequel to Divergent, Insurgent is finally here! I'm definitely looking forward to more info about the movie since this trailer leaves a lot more questions than answers. They've also released the first poster for the movie, which is down right haunting!
