Wedding season or not, here's a clever take on a brandy classic that will be a hit with your guests...and give the best man something to do, besides wringing his hands over the toast. And he BETTER give a toast!
I've taken the liberty of sharing these fabulous pictures taken by Josh Gruetzmacher and recipes by Paula LeDuc.
• old fashioned glass with hand carved ice sphere (click here to see why carved ice is so crucial)
• 1 1/4 oz. Bourbon
• 1/2 oz. Rye
• 1/2 oz. Sweet Vermouth
• bar spoon amaro
• bar spoon dry maraschino liqueur
• 1 dash Angostura bitters
• 2 dashes homemade orange bitters (click here to learn how to make your own bitters)
Stir & strain, garnish with orange peel and 3 brandied cherries on metal skewer.
I have no idea how long this photo shoot took. Nine hours, maybe? And look how delightful! No one is more mesmerized by picture-perfect cocktails than me. So when you serve your cocktails, always take the time to garnish them and serve them in appropriate stem and glassware.
