Beautiful hands are just as important as a beautiful face.

We focus so often on our face that we often forget about our hands. No matter what kind of work you do, you're more than likely using your hands on a daily basis. Dry, cracked hands at any age is far from appealing, but don't worry it happens to the best of us -- especially in the winter time.
Just like we exfoliate our face ever so often, it's also beneficial to exfoliate your hands with a scrub from time to time to remove dead skin. Although there are some amazing hand scrubs you can purchase in stores, why not be hands on and make your own hand scrub. It's always more fun when you do it yourself and with that being said -- here are two amazing hand scrub recipes that will leave your hands smooth, rejuvenated and smelling amazing.

Coconut Sugar Scrub

1 tbsp coconut oil
2 tbsp raw honey
1/4 cup sea salt
1/4 cup organic sugar
1 tbsp lemon juice
Directions: Combine all ingredients together and store in a glass container. Take dime size portion of scrub and massage into hands for about one minute and rinse hands with warm water.

Almond Brown Sugar Scrub

1/4 cup almond meal
1/4 cup brown sugar (light or dark)
2 tablespoons local honey
3 tablespoons pure sweet almond oil (substitute extra virgin olive oil)
Directions: Stir and combine all ingredients together. Place in a glass container and store in the refrigerator for one month. Before using scrub, allow to sit at room temperature for twenty minutes. Stir the scrub, take a dime size portion, massage into hands and rinse with warm water.

Lavender Vanilla Sugar Scrub

1 cup white sugar
1/2 cup coconut oil, melted
4 tablespoons grapeseed or sweet almond oil
1 teaspoon vanilla
10-15 drops lavender essential oil
Directions: Combine and stir all ingredients together before placing in a glass container. Take a dime size portion and massage into hands. Rinse with warm water.

Get to exfoliating. Your hands will thank you immensely.
