Manga Recommendations
Having been inspired and awed by fellow vingler @poojas ongoing anime recommendations collection, I decided that there should be a similar endeavor made for the manga side of things!
As painful and shameful as it is to admit, I have watched few animes to completion. What I have always preferred is reading mangas. Reasons for this preference might be that there is less time spent between the arcs as well as little to no filler.
In animes, particularly ones like Naruto or Bleach, there are huge arcs that go totally off track from the main storyline, often in the middle of bigger arcs. I understand that this is because animes often catch up to the mangas and therefore have no new material to change into video form, but even knowing that, it sometimes irks me. I want to continue the stories I'm invested in.
So with that, I want to know what mangas you guys all like to read, so I can read more of them!
I've already read Naruto, Mahou Sensei Negima! and Katekyo Hitman Reborn. I'm currently reading Bleach and Fairy Tail, and I just picked up Akame Ga Kiru (which I'm loving). There'll probably be some crossover between the mangas and animes, but it could also be cool to read mangas that haven't yet been syndicated for television.
If this gets some traction, I'll make a collection and post thoughts and stuff about the mangas!
I'm calling on you, my fellow anime nerds! Let me know your faves!
