It's as easy as 1...2...3!

So a few people have asked how to make a card. And since some very nice people on Vingle replied to my messages when I first started and helped me out, I thought I would return the favor to the community and share what I've learned!

1. Where is the button?

This is a very reasonable question! It's a little bit different on web than it is on mobile. I took a screenshot of my app (I use Android), which is the first image in this block. The second image on this block is a screenshot of the web version. On mobile: When you're on your profile page, a small red pencil will appear at the bottom right corner of your screen. On web: On your profile page, the bar at the top right corner of the page has a red pencil button.
When you click on that button, you'll be on your way to writing a card!

2. What do I do?

This is where things start to get really fun! The image above is what the card writing page looks like on mobile. Below, you can see it on the web.
They look very similar!
The nice thing about the Vingle app is that it's very similar to the web. If you learn how to write cards in one place, you can do the same thing in the other!

First: Pick a Title!

Your title should tell people what your card is about! My card Who do YOU think should play Captain Marvel? is very clear: I'm asking the Vingle community a question because I'm curious what they think. My other card The Missing Adlock Scene was not very good. The title did not really explain what the card was about, and the way it was phrased meant not everyone understood it.

Next: Write Your Content!

This is your time to shine! What do you want to share with the community? What are you interested in talking about? What do you really love? You can enhance all of these subjects using features.
When you highlight text, a text editor pops up. You can use it to insert a hyperlink, indent text, or change the way the text appears (like in the image above).

You can also add images!

@poojas made a great card listing resources for finding and editing images. Since I don't think I can add to that, I'll show you the mechanics of adding images and using blocks.

3. How do I make it look AMAZING?

The screenshot above should help to illustrate how to add images to a card.
The plus (+) sign on the top left corner of your block is where you want to go to add images. You can upload an image from your computer, paste a link for Vingle to search for images, or share a video from Youtube (and a few other sites as well). Videos and images can expand on what you're saying, or say it for you!
But if you still have a lot to say...
This is especially helpful if you have a lot of images that you wish to use and discuss.
While you can put more than one image or video in a block (like I did in my intro to the anime community card), using blocks can help you transition from one subject to the next.

You're a Vingle professional now!

I look forward to seeing all of your lovely new cards! And if you have any questions, please let me know in the comments or send me a message! I am always happy to help! ^_^
