The story follows the redemption of Yona, the sole princess to the kingdom of Kouka. Yona lives the carefree life of a princess in Hiryuu castle, being sheltered by her pacifist father, King Il, and protected by her bodyguard and childhood friend Son Hak. During a party being held for her sixteenth birthday, her other childhood friend and love interest Soo-won comes to pay tribute to her. Intending to tell her father that she cannot forget her love for Soo-won, she visits King Il's chambers and witnesses him being killed by Soo-won, who reveals that he will now properly rule Kouka. Hak intervenes and saves Yona and they escape from the castle to Hak's birthplace, the Village of Wind. Under the suggestion of Hak's grandfather Son Mundok, Yona and Hak search for an oracle named Ik-su. Ik-su tells them the legend of the first king of Kouka, Hiryuu, and the four dragons who unified the kingdom. Yona and Hak, joined by Ik-su's assistant Yun, begin a journey to find the reincarnated legendary dragons in order to survive and save the Kingdom of Kouka.

I love this song and the animation for the video is stunning, I can't look away because it always draws my attention. The songs in this show are so captivating and beautiful!
Soo Won - Doesn't this guy look so nice, like a sweet cousin you can look up to right? WRONG he isn't sweet that's just his cover up to hide the darkness within. I understand him wanting revenge for his father but why pretend to be a nice guy the whole time to people you care about and then hurting them? That's just cruel! I hate this guy because he is so two faced and he makes me sick even though he's good looking.
This show had some really funny scenes that I loved. The one I remember was where Hak was injured and laying on the ground while Yona was trying to drag him by pulling his hair but she couldnt move him! Another scene that was funny was where Jeaha said to Hak "I want you" and Hak responds "I'm not into that"! Lots of funny scenes.
There were many cute scenes between Hak and Yona but my favorite was the almost kiss, I was so upset but I think it's so cute when Hak plays around with Yona!
Top 3 Favorite Characters:
1.Yona - Usually the main guy is my favorite character in animes but this show was different because I loved Yona's character so much, she was awesome and showed that women can be as strong as men! She never gives up, she's brave, beautiful, caring, and gentle!
2.Hak - Okay I like guys who use a bow, he's extremely handsome and he's strong if you have seen him throw his weapon towards someone else so they could hold it they had trouble because it's so heavy but he holds it with one hand. I love the little "pranks" he pulls on Yona, they are so cute, he cares, protects and loves her but Yona is so dense she can't tell by his "pranks"!
3.Shin Ah - I love his back story, it was so sad and made me want to cry with him because he was so lonely because he couldn't have friends and was treated like a curse. Yona had the same reaction I did when I saw his eyes that are supposedly a curse, I said to myself "there beautiful"! He is the funniest character, he is so kind he will go jump in a lake to get a fish for an injured guy and come out shivering. I thought he was the cutest thing ever, I just wanted to hug him! >_<
Favorite Scenes: Hair Cut
1. I knew she was going to cut her hair but I never knew how or when she was going to and then this scene finally came. This guy (can't remember his name) grabs her hair and he had a sword on him so she grabs it and cuts her hair with the sword so she could go to Hak because he was in trouble and she didn't have time for this guy. I like her hair short better anyway!
2nd Favorite Scene: Perfect Shot!
This happens when she is on a ship and is trying to help everyone by getting rid of this scumbag of a guy named Kuem-ji, he tries to escape on a boat but Yona gets her bow and arrow ready and thinks about the horrible things this guy has done and aims with fire burning in her eyes and shoots directly at him and he falls into the water. This scene showed that she has really grown and became a strong person.
I absolutely loved this anime, but there are a few things that would make it perfect but since those thing didn't happen I'm not giving it a perfect score. I don't like that we get to see the yellow dragon for only one episode and we know nothing about him except that he eats a lot. So make another season, I want to see more! Even though it was cute, I wanted Hak and Yona to become a couple then it would've been perfect!
