Now and Then
I miss those childhood days  And my careless ways  Playing in the sandbox  Swinging on the swings  Getting cuts and scrapes from all sorts of things  Now that i am grown  I play on a different play ground called life  Having once long locks  I had all sorts of groans and moans  That I once took a knife  But then there were my friends  To remind me of the good times  So far there hasn't been  But there were some as sour as limes  Now i've seen  Seen things that would make me want to live  Things such as love  That could make me move on
This poem was written when I was 13 years old for a contest and it was published with other works. It amazes me how I still feel like this and how relevant it is still in my life. One day I will share my whole story with the world...until then I'll keep sharing little pieces if my soul through my poetry and art

@VeronicaArtino I think when we are younger, it's easier to put the words on paper. As adults we tend to cover the emotions. Thanks for sharing and please don't wait too long for one day.
wow the fact that you wrote this at 13 is amazing. the depth of your feelings and awareness of the world at that age is pretty amazing! Please continue to tagg me in your poetry
