What's with the Chinese football league?
There's something strange happening in the football world right now. Even with all the money and appeal that the world's top leagues bring - the EPL, La Liga, Germany's Bundesliga, France's Ligue 1 and Italy's Serie A, some top players have recently departed their clubs and gone to accept enormous contracts in the Chinese Super League. The latest star to make the move is Chelsea's Ramires, a player at the peak of his career at age 28. I'm stunned. There is a history of great players making the move to China, but in the past it has been players at the very tail end of their careers moving across the world to make huge amounts of money before they retire. Think Didier Drogba and Nicolas Anelka, who in recent years went to Shanghai to play. And I understand the appeal for an aging player. Someone like Drogba couldn't keep up with the pace of the top European leagues anymore, but could still be a huge star in China, where the league quality is extremely low. They are major marketing moves for the Chinese teams too, who can bring in world superstars to boost their image. But recently, the players making the move have not been aging stars. They are players in the prime of their careers, like Chelsea's Ramires. Other players to recently make the move are Roma's Gervinho (formerly of Arsenal), who is just 28 years old and Colombia and Inter Milan's Freddy Guarin, a young midfielder of enormous quality and potential. He has been on the radar of the top EPL clubs for years, and to see him turn them down in exchange for a move to the low-level China league is shocking. Alessandro Diamanti, Momo Sissokho, Demba Ba and Paulinho are other players who have recently moved from their European clubs to play in China under huge contracts. It's a bizarre phenomenon. Football in China is not known to be a very popular sport, but the Chinese owners have loads of money and are doing a good job convincing top players to come and join them. I'm sad to see exciting players like Ramires and Gervinho leave Europe, where I could watch them in the Champions League, but I'm fascinated to see what they will make of themselves in China, and to follow along to see if the Chinese league continues to pry away great talent from Europe. @InPlainSight @AbdulrahmanSaad @trinityarcangel @thefeels @MarcusJiles @DerekGumtow @havic @yaakattackk @bnzatton @SherzTYCi @krishntejanand @addri @mishthi @andwas @NimishMathur @Sydsocquet @starli @kyleatekwana @BenjiPhilip @Eduardo14 @AshfakEjaaz @EmanueleYagoda @Bobs What do you make of this recent trend?

10 Times Plankton Understood Your Jealous Rage
It's okay that people are better than you...just not all the time. Take it from our favorite sea-bound villain, it sucks pretty hard being number two. Channel your jealous rage with Plankton, and know that you're not alone in this. You may be evil...but it's okay! Comment if you're reading this in his voice...because I know you are. People are always questioning if you're qualified or not. I went to college! Isn't that enough for you!!!! Oh...you want two years of experience, three internships and my left leg!? How do I proceed!? Oh SPONGEBOB has 5 years of experience and can give you his left leg because he can regenerate. HOW CONVENIENT We've all got that one person at work or school that we can't possibly impress. You could run a marathon, win the Nobel Prize, cure cancer and be back in time for dinner...and they wouldn't care. You're awesome...except nobody notices. You get jealous really easily...especially of happy people. They kind of freak you out though. Like...a lot. HOW CAN YOU BE SO HAPPY ALL THE TIME. You view everyone else's success as a mark of your failure. At least...that's how you see it. And even when you're doing well...someone comes along and crushes you. Like...shows you up or makes you look stupid when you're feeling good. That's not fair! People are always selling you short. I'M NOT JUST HOT GAS. I'M A PERSON! WITH FEELINGS! Your jealous rage can lead you to questionable habits. Like...I don't know, eating a Krabby Patty that is like...twice your size. Or acting like a jerk to your friends because you're jealous of them. Sometimes you need your jealous rage to survive. Like when your friends at school are all getting good grades and you're sitting there like, "MUST GET BETTER GRADES THAN THEM." Jealousy can be a motivator. I mean, Plankton wouldn't even want the Krabby Patties if he weren't jealous right? Some days you can't deny that there are some things you need to work on. Like not being as jealous! it's okay, we've all got stuff to work on...even Plankton! And eventually, you will see the light. You can't live like a jealous wreck all the time. One day you'll truly excel at something all your own. And you will be happy! Maybe not today, or tomorrow, but be patient! Your very own Krabby Patty could be on the way! Okay then. Bye.
Lampard proof City’s Liverpool legend interest is serious
There is widespread panic across Liverpool as the future of their one-club captain, Steven Gerrard, threatens to turn into the transfer saga of next summer. The former England captain’s contract at Anfield expires at the end of this season and with the club yet to offer their idol an extension, Gerrard put the frighteners on his devoted fans by revealing that he’d be happy to sign for someone else as a free agent. drow names With no plans to retire at the end of the current campaign, in which the Reds are 11/8 to retain their top-four status, Gerrard has firmly put the ball in Brendan Rodgers’ court as to where his future lies. That hasn’t stopped an orderly queue forming for the midfielder’s signature, though and at the front of it is Manchester City. Financial Fair Play regulations will limit the Citizens’ spending next season and the club seeGerrard as the perfect bargain. Having already successfully extended Frank Lampard’s top-flight career after his release from Chelsea, it’s clear the defending Premier League champions do not discriminate against age. Lampard’s loan from MLS club New York City FC can be regarded as a success after he notched the equalising goal against his former employers earlier in the season and Manuel Pellegrini is on record stating his belief that, like the one-time Blue, Gerrard has fuel left in the tank. “I don’t ever rate players on their age. It depends on the money they cost and the number of years they can play for,” Pellegrini said recently. Both factors make Gerrard the perfect City target then, and if Liverpool don’t act swiftly, that interest could soon turn into a permanent transfer. Fancy a flutter?
