Clutter space scares me and since I am claustrophobic (fear of tight space), I cannot breathe in a crowded room. I learned to live with minimal items and my closet reflect this. I follow a simple process to maximize every item I have.
ONE // FIND BASE ITEM
This can a top and bottom or dress.
TWO // LAYER
For hot weather, you can skip this step.
THREE // ACCESSORIZE
Gather your accessories and complete your outfit.
FOUR // RECORD
Snap a picture of your outfit, so you don't forget.
FIVE // REPEAT
Go back to your base item and repeat this step until you can't think of another way style it. Then move on to next item.
Another time saving method: you can take pictures of individual items and coordinate the outfit on photoshop.
For this example, I choose a gray t-shirt dress and came up with 6 ways to wear it.
If you are feeling super productive, you can even categorize it based on occasion.
Thanks for reading my first fashion card and I hope this inspires you to plan your outfit. I do this to save time and prevent myself from purchasing things I do not need.
