The 10 Saddest Pixar Scenes, Ranked by Me!
Why not start the week off with a list of the saddest Disney/Pixar scenes of all time? No?
Too bad! I'm doing it anyways! These are the 10 saddest Pixar scenes that I remember...and boy, are some of them sad. But still, they're sad with a purpose. Everything leads to something better in the end :)
*NOTE: If there's any of these movies you haven't seen, don't watch the clips! Most of them are a crucial part of the movie, so it might ruin it for you if you haven't seen them yet. You've been warned!

Bye Kitty - Monsters, Inc.

It was only a matter of time before Kitty needed to drop Boo off, but when she whips open the closet door and yells "BOO" only to see nothing but clothing, my heart sank a little bit for her. She really didn't understand that they were saying goodbye.

Ellie & Carl's Love Story - UP

Do I really need to explain why this is touching? Didn't think so. Just hit play. This is the opening of the movie, so if you haven't seen Up before you can just watch this then go watch the whole thing cause you'll definitely want to :)
*NOTE! If you haven't watched Inside Out yet, don't watch this!

Take Her to the Moon - Inside Out

Bing bong.....bing bong......I wasn't expecting this to be such a sad moment!! Admittedly the end of the movie made me cry more than this did, but this stuck with me long after I watched Inside Out, and I know a lot of people who smile sadly every time they say "Bing Bong."

The Second Sunrise Scene - Brave

This movie didn't really feel very sad to me the first time I saw brave, but after watching it again, I was really touched by it. Merida regrets her hope to change her fate so much, and thinks that she failed and....ouch. That hurts.

Jessie's Story - Toy Story 2

Toy Story 1 had it's sad moments, but Toy Story 2 was the real impacting one for. Especially this scene! The song set to this sad, sad story about how friends grow apart...well, that's just sad.

The Egg Scene - Finding Nemo

Again, I don't think I need to explain this. JUST. WATCH. IT.

He Just Needs a Friend! - LAVA

This was the short shown before Inside Out when I went to see it, and wow! For a short, I was really impressed. I loved the song, and I wasn't expecting to have to see our poor volcano friend go through so much pain, but I loved the way it worked out.

Memory Wipe - Wall-E

Eve and Wall-E find something special just communicating through beeps and blips, and then Wall-E has to let his memory be wiped to save everyone. Eve is distraught! Thankfully, this really sad scene actually has a really happy ending.

Andy Says Goodbye - Toy Story 3

This scene (it's split into two clips) is really touching. Andy seriously loves his toys still, but he decides to pass them to Bonnie to let her enjoy them and them enjoy her. It's just touching because of the long legacy of Toy Story and all we know that Woody & co have been through together with Andy. Sentimental and sad, but for very good reasons.

Change - Ratatouille

Okay, so this one isn't really sad in the traditional sense of sad, but I thought of it while writing this card so I thought I'd bring it into the list, too. Basically, Remy is deciding to go against his family--and set against the dark backdrop, it's a downer of a scene. But still a great part of a pretty great movie!

Are there any other scenes that make you guys sad?

Not to say I like sad things, but I like sad things so give me more to indulge in!

all these scenes give me so much feels. I haven't watched inside out, so I won't spoil that. I heard it was sad, so I'm trying delay that as much as I can. I don't think this counts as Pixar, but Tinkerbell and the Legend of the neverbeast has a sad moment. Not only me but a lot of people who watched it cried, even grown men haha.

@buddyesd ohhh no why did you remind me of that scene! So sad. I think the one with Jessie actually gets to me the most. I don't know why, maybe because I feel like I was probably the girl and I abandoned a toy that really loved me.
