Regular make-up removers are full of harsh chemicals that can irritate the delicate skin around your eyes. What's a chemical free alternative to these harsh chemicals ? Olive oil! Give it a try and comment below. What you'll need: 1/4 cup (60 ml) Olive oil 1/4 cup (60 ml) Alcohol free witch hazel 1/4 cup (60 ml) Filtered water bottle or jar What next ? 1) pour ingredients into a bottle/jar and shake well 2) apply some to a cotton ball and wipe away your make-up and follow with a natural cleanser *make sure to shake the bottle before using since the ingredients will separate due to their different densities
Vitamin E oil works great to remove eye makeup, and is actually healthy for your eyes, reverses skin damage, and prevents wrinkles. A tiny bit of oil on a cotton swab works wonders.
@allischaaff Witch hazel is a natural astringent that's extracted from the leaves and bark of a North American shrub called Hamamelis virginiana. It helps lock in moisture and helps maintain skin's elasticity and softness.
Ooo I really want to try this. What does the witch hazel do?? I've heard just olive oil on its own before as a makeup remover, but I like the idea of adding some other things to it
Oh, witch hazel!! There's a small typo I was like "what is with hazel." This sounds great! I'll try it :)
awesome, thanks for the info :) @lv22 that sounds like a great thing to have in makeup remover, then!
