Welcome back to week 3 of OSTuesday fellow k-drama fans!
This week's OST was requested by @sugajin94 and comes from one of my favorites dramas!
So let's get started eh?!
*obviously not my video
*this is the official MV for the OST and it just highlights the main relationship, but it can be spoilerly, so just watch with caution.
From the 2014 dramedy It's Okay, That's Love (괜찮아, 사랑이야) comes our choice OST this week: It's Okay, That's Love by Davichi.
Davichi is a pop-ballad duo from Korea whose songs are brimmed with emotion and often used on OSTs.
It's Okay, That's Love is a dramedy with an ensemble cast, centering on the love story of a witty writer and a psychologist whose quirks and past difficulties set the tone for their relationship. Jo In-Sung, Gong Hyo-Jin, Sung Dong-Il, Lee Kwang-Soo, and Do Kyung-Soo round out the main ensemble cast.
This drama is one of my favorites.
The chemistry between the entire cast, not exclusive to the main couple even though they are amazing, is out of this world good and I fell in love with every single character.
Had my heart torn out by every single character.
Had my heart flutter for every single character.
This show makes the characters so relatable and that they are your friends, so when normal K-Drama drama happens, it doesn't feel that odd. It feels like it's something that happens in everyday life, and it's happening to close dear friends of yours.
And that is also what is important about this drama; it deals with mental illnesses and makes those who are living with them feel like it's a normal thing, and it totally is. I think that's why I related so much to everyone. It was kind of like oh my goodness someone understands.
OKAY NOW ABOUT THE SONG.
I highly recommend listening to the whole OST. I'll probably do another song in this drama eventually because it's that good. This particular song is just so sweet and emotionally connected to the main couple, Jae-Yeol and Hae-Soo. When something happens that deepens the connection between those two, this song plays. When you hear this music start and the song swells and emotes, you are immediately transported into their relationship, with the love that blossoms and grows.
It's just a really good song you guys...
And just a really good drama you guys...
Has anyone seen It's Okay, That's Love?
How do you feel about the Davichi song?
