Could you imagine being compared to Angelina Jolie? That would be quite the compliment in my opinion. But that is the amazing reality for 24-year-old Scottish beauty, Chelsea Marr. She's an operations manager at an oil and gas recruitment company where everyone seems to be comparing her to the famous 40-year-old actress, Angelina Jolie. In the past week, Marr has been gracing on the front pages of articles for major publications across the globe. Absolutely incredible!
Marr posted an appreciation post to her newfound fans on Facebook...
"I have taken some time before responding or commenting on all of this as it's been hugely overwhelming and I found myself quite speechless about it all to be honest.
Firstly thank you so much to those who took the time to write those articles about me, they were all so kind, too kind infact and I am extremely flattered to be compared to the amazing Angelina Jolie! Thank you to those of you who took the time to comment on these articles/instagram/blogs etc some of the comments are so lovely and it is very admirable and quite refreshing actually to see girls (and guys) saying kind things even though they dont know me, so thank you so much!!
Those that felt the need to say nasty things, I guess it is to be expected as it's the world we live in now unfortunately. Everyone is entitled to their own opinion and I appreciate that, however it was quite difficult to read at first as I'm just a normal girl from a small city and to all of a sudden be plastered online, in newspapers and magazines to have thousands of people from all over the world judge/analyse and comment on my appearance is a lot to take in as you can imagine.
I don't really see the resemblance myself to be honest, I just see the imperfections in the mirror like most girls do, nor did I post these pictures so I didn't expect all of this to happen so out of the blue too.
Despite what the articles say I am not a model I work for an oil and gas recruitment company as an Operations Manager in the city so trying to get work done with all of this has been a bit of a strain as you can imagine.
With regards to having had any 'plastic surgery' not just in the past week but for years my friends/colleagues/family and I constantly get asked if I've had this and that done or if I've photoshopped this and that.
Anyone who knows me knows I am extremely open and really don't mind discussing it. I have had lip fillers yes, not to look like anyone else but just because I wanted them a bit fuller just like all the other women that have also had theirs done. I had an operation on my nose a few years ago too however this wasn't a cosmetic procedure this was because as a child I broke my nose (quite badly) and therefore had complications with it and still do unfortunately. Lastly I did have a breast augmentation yes, but again this wasn't to try and resemble anyone, this was purely because I had absolutely nothing there before and it was something I was insecure about for years. I couldn't even fill an A cup - even the surgeon said they were the smallest he had seen🙈 I increased them to a B/C cup, and was just looking for enough to fill a bra and to look and feel more feminine in t-shirts and bikinis.
Though I know I don't or shouldn't have to explain any of that personal information about myself I feel i should just explain once and for all so you can all know the facts instead of presuming this and that about me. There will still be some who want to spread their own assumptions but that's up to them if that's what they want to spend their time doing.
Anyway I hope this puts a few of the rumours out there to bed and thank you to all the kind people once again!! Lots of love x"
The resemblance is uncanny.
But really, she truly does look like Angelina Jolie. You have to wonder if people on the street run up to her and ask for her autograph. From the Facebook post she made, I'd say she's very humble and enjoying this newfound attention. I mean, who wouldn't want to be a celebrity for a day? It's "overwhelming" for her and her fifteen minutes of fame will probably end very soon but it's nice to see her enjoying the moment. I think it's also very brave that she feels comfortable speaking out about her plastic surgery when it can sometimes be seen as being taboo. Whatever the case, Miss Marr, you look phenomenal!
