Tim Lincecum undergoes hip surgery, Is this the end of his run with the Giants?
Bad news for Giants fans: Tim Lincecum is done for the year.
The crafty pitcher had surgery on his left hip Thursday and will need five months of rehab to be ready for the 2016 season.

Could this be the end of the road in regards to his run with San Fran?

Lincecum, 31, went 7-4 with a 4.13 ERA in 76 1/3 innings this season in 15 starts, the last on June 27.

He wasn't horrible this year by any means, but he hasn't been the player he was in the past for a couple years now. For those who aren't die hard Giants fans and may have missed Tim in his prime, catch this highlight film above. He was arguably one of the top 10 players in baseball and probably the best small market player during that time.
Personally, I credit Tim as the backbone of the top notch franchise the Giants have built over the past decade. He carried the torch while Matt Cain and Madison B. were groomed into the players they are today.
Lincecum was the first player to win back-to-back NL Cy Young Awards in his first two full seasons -- 2008 and 2009. He has been a class act on the field as well. Hopefully things work out with the Giants, but with 18 million on the tab for next year, the business side of things may rear its ugly head unless he takes a pay cut.
Good luck Tim.

it would be devastating to see him go....you don't see a back-to-back cy young too often
@mchlyang I was a huge Tim fan.. I think his violent throwing style combined with his small frame just caught up to him...
@christianmordi I totally agree with you on that one....I love his pitching form but I feel like its one of the reasons why his hips were screwed
