This smoothie's got a secret... it's got spinach in it! And it's super healthy – not that you'd be able to tell from the delicious nutty, chocolate-y taste.
+ 9g protein from the almond milk and almond butter
+ High in iron from spinach and almond butter
+ Lots of fiber to keep your digestive system healthy
+ Chia seeds are amazing for you (I'm a little bit obsessed...)
I found the recipe at Cooking and Beer, a really awesome blog that you need to check out. Usually, Justine (the resident foodie) pairs recipes and craft beer selections, but here, she's used her culinary knowledge to whip up a pretty yummy chocolate almond milk smoothie. You go, Justine! Photo credit goes to her as well.

toasted coconut and mini chocolate chips, for garnish
What To Do
1. Place bananas, almond milk, almond butter, chia seeds, and spinach in a high powered blender, and blend on high until smooth. (If you'd like a colder, thicker smoothie, add 1 cup of ice before blending.)
