‘Tetsujin 28-go’ to get a remake for its 50th anniversary!
It was announced that manga artist Yokoyama Mitsuteru’s giant robot manga “Tetsujin 28-go” will be remade by Fuji TV and Eiken as an anime titled “Testujin 28- Gao!”to celebrate the 50th anniversary since it was first made into an anime.
Tetsujin 28-gō (鉄人28号 Tetsujin Nijūhachi-gō?, literally "Iron Man #28") is a 1956 manga written and illustrated by Mitsuteru Yokoyama, who also created Giant Robo. The series centred on the adventures of a young boy named Shotaro Kaneda, who controlled a giant robot named Tetsujin 28, built by his late father.The remake will focus on the daily life of elementary school student Shotaro instead of the battles between robots.
“Tetsujin-28 Gao!” will be broadcast on Fuji TV starting on April 6; it will run every Saturday from 4:52 AM to 5 AM
