‘Mogura no Uta’ to get live-action adaptation starring Ikuta Toma
It was announced that Takahashi Noboru’s popular manga “Mogura no Uta” would be getting a live-action adaptation starring Ikuta Toma.
Mogura no Uta (土竜の唄) is a Japanese manga series written by Noboru Takahashi ((first serialized in Weekly Young Sunday from 2005 -2008 and weekly manga magazine Big Comic Spirits from 2008-present)
‘Mogura no Uta’ tells the story of a police officer named Reiji Kikukawa who goes undercover in order to infiltrate the Sukiya organization, the most dangerous mafia syndicate of Japan’s Kanto region.
Takashi Miike, the world renowned director of highly controversial films like Audition and Ichi the Killer will be the one to direct a live-action film adaptation of the Mogura no Uta manga. The filming will begin at the end of January, and it will end in March. They are aiming to complete post-production for a 2014 release.
