Here are your Top 5 Plays of the Day!

5. J.J. Hardy (Baltimore Orioles)

Although this one goes to Hardy, kudos to Schoop for the barehand catch! Also, Hardy should have caught the ball in the first place.

4. Greg Bird (New York Yankees)

The twenty-two year old rookie is filling in for Texiera (expected to return this week from injury) and he's showed some solid performance at the plate. There has been times where the inexperienced first baseman was a bit rusty with his defense, but what a catch on that play!

3. Brandon Guyer (Tampa Bay Rays)

I'm not sure if this one was going over the fence...but still a very nice leaping catch by Guyer especially with runners on first and third. The Rays beat the Tigers 8-0.

2. Dustin Ackley (New York Yankees)

Another great catch by the Yankees...this one by Dustin Ackley! He robbed a potential home run from Steve Pearce. You could see the disappointment in Pearce's face after Ackley made the catch! Too bad the Yankees lost 5-3.

1. Chris Coghlan (Chicago Cubs)

Not quite Derek Jeter, but still an amazing catch by the Cubs left fielder! It's always great to see players go all out on these fly balls. And of course, none of the Cardinals fans helped him get up. Despite Coghlan's catch that carried him over two rows of seats, the Cubs lost to the Cardinals 4-3.
Now that was your Top 5 Plays of the Day from last night's games!

What was your favorite play of the day?

@mchlyang definitely man! would love to have a Top 5 plays of the day waiting in my notifications every day hahah what could be better?
Also would you guys want me to tag you in my daily Top 5 Plays of the Day cards? I'm going to try to make one everyday and it would be great to see my fellow MLB fans vote for their favorite play of the day! @jeff4122 @christianmordi
@christianmordi Yeah I personally think over-the-shoulder catches are the hardest in baseball....but I'm still not sure why he made that leap hahaha
@jeff4122 Yeah fosho! He def made up for it! Also Schoop's barehand was amazing!
Coghlan really put his body on the line for that play, I really like that one, but the Guyer play is very impressive, to be running full speed like that and drop on a dime and explode to make the play is incredible
