Hello Vingle Fam- In July of 2013, BEAST appeared on an episode of Happy Together and something rather amazing happened. I'm not talking about the members showing off their abs (though that was nice), I'm talking about this: The group's main vocalist, Yang Yoseob wore this purple bracelet, a gift from one of his fans, during the show's filming. After the broadcast, the website that sells these silicone bracelets actually crashed due the sudden influx in orders. So what's the big deal about these little bracelets? They are called Blooming Bracelets and they bring awareness to the plight of Comfort Women. "Comfort women were women and girls forced into prostitution to serve Japanese soldiers during World War II. Young women were abducted from their homes, or lured with promises of work in factories or restaurants. Once recruited, the women were incarcerated in “comfort stations” in foreign lands, deprived of their basic rights. Treated as little more than animals, they were forced to face several dozen men a day." All proceeds from the sale of the bracelets "go directly to the “Daegu Citizen Forum for Halmuni” to improve the well-being of comfort women." Of the documented Comfort Women, only 56 are still alive today, their average age is 90 years old. Weekly protests have been held in support of the Comfort Women outside of the Japanese embassy in Seoul for the past 21 years, despite which the Japanese Government has yet to issue a formal apology. Yoseob, who has been seen wearing the bracelet on many occasions since the broadcast, has been called "gaenyeomdol (an idol with social consciousness)" for using his celebrity status to bring awareness to this worthy cause. In addition, the chairperson of the Committee for the Prevention of Historical Distortion in Northeast Asia personally thanked the vocalist. His public support of woman's causes has not only labeled the singer as an idol who cares, but it has sparked a trend of social consciousness within the idol industry. In the years since Yoseob's appearance on Happy Family, many idols have also come out in support of the Comfort Woman's cause by wearing Blooming Bracelets. VIXX's Leo and BTOB's Minhyuk. SHINee's Taemin, Onew and Jonghyun. GOT7's JB and Jinyoung. Even rookie Taeyong of NCT fame has been spotted wearing the bracelets. The Blooming Project was started by a group of students at Korea University who wished to bring about awareness to the often overlooked issue of Comfort Woman. They established a brand called Heeum and created a website. They were inspired by the Livestrong bracelets sported by Lance Armstrong and set about creating an inexpensive bracelet that could help raise money for the cause. Since Yoseob and other idols started sporting the bracelets, the company has been able to expand to include Blooming bags and other goods and even hold events to educate the public on the issue. As multiple members of the project have noted, despite the plight of Comfort Women being an integral part of South Korea's history, many high school students and even adults were not aware of the issue prior to the public's knowledge of the Blooming Project. Woollim Sells Artists Schedules To Fans Willing to Pay?!
A fansite for INFINITE member Sungjong, using the name @93springflowers on Twitter, has been blacklisted and has recently gone off on Woollim Entertainment. In addition to accusing the company of treating Sungjong poorly, she also says the company sells information on their schedules to fans, including herself. I guess if she’s going down then she’s taking the company with her. If that's true (and please keep in mind, we dont have any other info other than this fansite saying this happened) this is SO BAD for Woollim. How dare they treat their artists like that?! But honestly, I can easily believe it based on what other companies have done (and im sure other companies sell too!) What do you think of all this?

Here’s a basic breakdown of how Koreans view each blood type along with some celebrities who belong under each category. BLOOD TYPE A  People with type A blood are known to be more conservative and introverted than the others, often finding difficulty in expressing emotions or trusting others. They’re extremely patient, considerate, and reserved, but also highly creative and perfectionists, often giving people the impression as being stubborn, tense, and uptight. Men with type A blood are said to be the friendly natured ones with good personalities. They’re very punctual, always expecting the best results in everything they do, but are also very sensitive and willing to give up everything they have for those they love. Due to their sensitive natures, they’re very fragile-hearted and often get hurt easily. The women, however, tend to be very greedy and have a hard time finding satisfaction easily. They’re strong prides often lead them to act emotionless. However, they’re very loyal and caring, which often results to extreme jealousy or emotional damage upon feeling betrayed. Get a Boy Group That Can Do Both
I dig a group who can commit to concepts, and I LOVE groups that can do a ton of different kinds. Originally this was going to be boy AND girl groups but I had too many boy groups so the girls will come next! Here are a few of my favorite groups that can hit both ends of the spectrum: BAP! One Shot vs Stop It The first is intense, hard core, and really dark. Even without the music video, this is just such an in-your-face dramatic song. Second is Stop It, one of their bouncier and happy-go-lucky songs. BAP is really, really good at doing both and I can't pick which type of song of theirs that I like. VIXX Voodoo vs GR8U Vixx are soooort of the concept kings and I love them for it. First up is their song and MV 'voodoo doll' which is sooo dark and creepy and dramatic. The music video is honestly a little gorey too and they legit act like they've lost their minds. In GR8U its just a super bright fun song with perrrrfect choreo!!! GOT7 Just Right vs If You Do GOT7's personalities are larger than life so its pretty obvious that they're going to be good at drama and fluff ;) In my opinion, they can slay both types of concepts! BTOB Thriller vs Second Confession BTOB is another group that can successfully pull off the dark and light concepts. I think Thriller and Second Confession are the best contrasts (plus I just really love Second Confession) Boyfriend Janus vs Boyfriend I know its not fair to judge a group by their debut track, but I genuinely love the song Boyfriend and this is my card so LOL! Boyfriend has changed their style a lot but I really like both their light and dark concepts. Janus is my favorite of the ~darker~ side. Infinite Man in Love vs Back I remember when Man in Love came out and I nearly combusted. I love how intense Infinite is but I lovelovelove the tracks on their albums that are super poppy and sweet too. For them to make one of them a single!? I was ded. It reminded me of baby Infinite's Nothings Over or She's Back. But really, intense Infinite is what we're all here for lol. TVXQ Balloons vs O omg this comparison is too hilarious! i could have used hug to show their sweet side but i will never miss an opportunity to share the balloons music video ;) There are many more but this card is getting too long! We all know that Kpop is excruciatingly hard for boyband and girl groups as well. Many members leave and many come. Some groups may even disband. Everyone who wants to become a Kpop idol goes through tough training, anywhere from 4 months to 8 years -- which could consist of schooling, vocal lessons, acting lessons, learning different languages, dance lessons, and learning some instruments -- and they may or may not debut within a group. So, I complied a list of Kpop male groups who haven't lost a member, or gotten one added in, since debut. Of course, since there is limited space on here I decided to only include those from 2012-1998. I have also added some fun facts of each group and their fandom//color so that we can get to know them better.
