So you're looking for a weight loss miracle. Maybe you don't like the weight you've gained since you made the transition from a girl's body to a woman's body. Or maybe you're starting college, and that Freshman 15 is proving very real. Listen, there are no mystery foods that will transform your body – but there ARE proven strategies that will help you achieve the body you want.
There are no short cuts in weight loss. It's hard work! If you're not exercising, don't expect to shed pounds, and if you're not eating healthier than you usually do, again, don't expect to see results.
But! If you vary your diet, include lots of fresh fruits and veggies, eat enough protein, drink a lot of water, and get active on a daily basis, you WILL see real change.

And in the mean time, you can start getting more bang for your caloric buck by incorporating these high-energy, nutrient-packed foods into your diet.

They'll give you the fuel your body needs to work out and stay awake throughout the day, while reducing stomach bloat, so you see results and feel good as quickly as possible.

High in protein and fiber, almonds are pretty much the best power snack out there. Forgo your usual snack, and munch on a handful of these instead – they'll nourish your mind and body, and keep you feeling full for hours!

Leafy Greens

Eating a serving of leafy greens at every meal is a surefire way to look and feel healthier. They're extremely low in calories, yet high in nutrients, and ease water retention without causing bloating.

Hands down the BEST weight loss breakfast. They provide slow-release, long-lasting energy that will help you feel full, and minimize snacking throughout the day.

Olive Oil

Replace butter with olive oil! Even though it's high in calories, the poly unsaturated fats in olive oil can actually reduce hunger pangs, and oleic acid contributes to the breakdown of body fat.

Drinking peppermint tea helps to naturally control the appetite, and keeps your stress levels down. That's a good thing to do, especially since high stress can slow down metabolism, increase stress eating, and lead to putting on extra pounds. When you feel stressed or you're craving sugar, try sipping peppermint tea instead.

Green Tea

Coffee addict? Try switching to green tea. It may be a rough transition, but worth it – green tea helps the body flush out excess fluids, and speeds up your metabolism so you burn calories faster!

Apple Cider Vinegar

Kills harmful bacteria in the gut, and reduces water retention around your belly. A great addition to sautéed vegetables during cooking, or as a replacement for balsamic vinegar in salad dressings!

These delicious salad additions help regulate metabolism and reduce water retention. And they're a super yummy snack! Try some with hummus.

Chili Peppers

Promote gorgeous, healthy skin in addition to boosting metabolism and helping flush out toxins.

Low in calories, high in antioxidants, and packed with nutrients. Thanks to their high fiber content, they'll help you feel fuller longer, and – best part – they're super delicious.
I love drinking peppermint and Green tea! I probably drink around 5 to 6 cups a day haha. I also add apple cider vinegar to my water!
I will have to slowly intergrate these tips into my life. It'll be tough cause I'm not real fond of fruit. Thanks for these tips!
