I've been thinking about doing a half marathon for a while now, but I'm not in suuuper good shape. So when I found this guide to FINISHING a half marathon (you know, for those of us who aren't about to set a personal record or anything...), I was really excited.
I found it on Cosmo's site – so they get the credit, not I – but this should be a great way to start off the new year with a fitness goal! :D
They even include some helpful tips! :)
Now, while this might not be the BEST training program out there, it's definitely the bare minimum you need to be doing – so you can use this as a base for constructing a larger, more elaborate program if you wish.
I'll probably add in some lifting days and some cross-training, like skiing, swimming, or yoga on the days I'm not running. And of course, make sure you're eating plenty of protein, as well as lots of fruits and vegetables! :)
