Ross and Rachel. Monica and Chandler... but no Joey and Phoebe. Was that fair?
According to Lisa Kudrow and Matt LeBlanc’s it for damn sure wasn't. In an interview about their recent Emmy nominations, LeBlanc spoke on the show passing on Joey and Phoebe hooking up.
Accoring to Matt, they wanted the opposite.
Matt LeBlance did everything in his power to create a love connection with Pheobe on the show until the last episode.
"Towards the end we actually pitched the idea that Joey and Phoebe had been having casual sex the entire time. We’d go back and shoot all the historical scenes and just before a moment that everyone recognizes, there’s Joey and Phoebe coming out of a broom closet together. But they were like, ‘Nah.’"
Sheesh, they really dropped the ball on that one.. or did they?
Personally, I thought it would've been awesome to see Joey and Phoebe connect on the show.
Both were very "unique" individuals and I think their love could've been the most powerful and entertaining on the show.
What do you think, did Friends writers drop the ball on a Joey and Phoebe relationship, or was it best they left that one alone?
