When the streets outside the fashion shows are as much a photographed spot as inside the shows, fashion week street style is almost as coveted as the designs on the runway themselves. Fashion week is the mecca of street style; all fashionistas and celebrities pull out all the stops when it comes to dressing themselves. From Solange (above) to fashion editors and everyone in between, here's my favorite selection of street style snaps from this very special week.
This gal looks ready for a yacht (that rope belt!), but the flatform oxfords make her city-ready.
We wish we could pull off that much white after labor day, but you need a certain je ne sais quoi (and a tan) to rock it like she does.
A pretty frock elevated by a to-die-for off-the-shoulder dramatic neckline, and her purse shows she's not just resting on girly pieces.
Pattern on pattern done right, so right you'd think those two pieces were made for each other.
Her bold sporty-sexy look is popping so well, you barely notice her comfy sneakers peaking out.
If ever there was anyone who could wear tulle over a cotton tee and destroyed denim, it's Susie Lau of Style Bubble.
Nautical and bright, and she seems to have brought a spare top in case her street style wasn't working out.
I know you know how to work denim on denim, but what about denim on denim on denim? She can do it and so can you.
Two fashionable friends in quirky denim, crochet tops, and flatforms, are better than one.
Tavi Gevinson popping in bold stripes behind the dreamiest but girliest purple dress, and she brightens our day.
Leandra Medine of the Man Repeller takes us to a sassy 90's place in her metallic star mini and delicate choker.
The detail shot to rule all detail shots. The wings on her shoes, the belly chain peaking out (which somehow, someway works!), and those clean white tassels.
Those patterns, that embellishment, their hair... everything about this picture tells us both of these girls are too cool, but twice is pretty nice.
And finally, Chiara Ferragni dresses up sneakers with sparkly sequins and bold shades.
