Do you silence your phone before you go to sleep?

Science says you probably should. We all know the terrible effects of sleep deprivation on your health, and a new study suggests that interrupted sleep may be as harmful as no sleep at all. Sleep quality, it turns out, is just as important as sleep quantity.
The negative consequences of interrupted sleep are many:
• Trouble thinking clearly and responding to danger
• Increased risk of illness and disease
• Leads to fatigue and lack of motivation
• Contributes to weight gain
The problem with interruptions is that they keep your body from getting enough REM sleep, which is the form of rest your body can't live without. Silencing your phone before you go to bed minimizes sleep interruptions, and helps you wake up feeling more refreshed.

So before you go to bed tonight, remember to put your phone on silent!

I like this card a lot. I sometimes put my phone on silent at night. I even put my phone on silent during the work day sometimes, because I can just feel totally overwhelmed tending to both my phone and my work at the same time. I think it's important we have our alone time -- free from technological distractions.
Hahaha @MimiZu17 I feel you, if I don't turn it off I just get so curious when it beeps that I have to check it!! Like what if it's my crush?? o.O Lol. @TerrecaRiley that's actually a really smart way to look at it!! i'm always so much more alert and equipped to handle things when i've had a good rest
Oh totally @alywoah @TerrecaRiley. Although it's hard to imagine what life would be like, not having one now... I depend on it wayyy too much. When I lose it, I feel like I lost a limb. It's terrible!! I don't want to be so dependent on my technology, but I don't really know any other way to live... Am I pathetic? lol
I definitely remember it. I was a productive human being when I didn't have a phone lol. @TerrecaRiley
does anyone remember the days without phones? I do...o/ still alive
