Week one of the NFL was jam packed with games that went down to the wire. Expect that trend to continue in week two.
Thursday night football may not get the hoopla of Monday Night, but make no mistake about it, the mid-week games are rarely snoozers.
The league continues the trend of high quality games on Thursday with the matchup between the Chiefs and Broncos. On the fence on who to pick? Have no fear! I am here with my thoughts on the game and who will come out on top.
The Chiefs were extremely impressive in week one in an away game against the highly hyped Houston Texans.
Alex Smith made enough big plays down the field to allow Jamaal Charles to eat the Texans alive in the running game. Today they will face a different type of beast though. Denver may be a smaller team, but they are fast and aggressive. When they get you in 3rd and long, they have one of the best pash rushing duos in football with Demcarcus Ware and Von Miller.
Offensively Denver didn't put up a lot of points against the Ravens, but they still won the close matchup at home. Peyton Manning has a strong wide out duo in Demaryius Thomas and Emmanuel Sanders.
While both teams boast very aggressive defenses, I expect some blown coverages and big plays on both sides.
