Aikawa Ayumu is a normal high school boy. One day he is killed by a serial killer and revived as a zombie by a necromancer named Eucliwood Hellscythe. He starts to serve Eu as her guard but he happens to deprive the masou-shoujo Haruna of her magic power. Haruna orders Ayumu to fight against the anti-masou-shoujo system "Megalo" in her place.

This has to be one of the most unique anime I have ever watched. Killed, revived by a cute Necromancer and live like normal people in the human society? It's just great. Not only that, they also fight against demons. Aren't necromancers supposed to be mean and creepy people? A story full of comedy and action. This one's really one to check out mostly because of the genre.
Ayumu is just your average everyday boy, but after he's revived by Eu he just becomes the most hilarious characters. Did I mention he HAS to cosplay like Sakura Card Captor to fight the demons? Eucliwood is the cutest necromancer I've seen in anything. Also she's the quiet type who eats a lot but when she does something is either cute or hilarious. The other girls they meet are also great side characters who help bring the most out of Ayumu and Eu.
The main "genre" is unique by itself. A guy revived as a zombie that fights demons by cosplaying, if that's not unique I don't know what is. Also, because of this "genre", the humor feels unique as well, as no other anime can make the jokes that this anime can. As I said above this really is one of the best underdogs out there.
The opening has that kind of obscure and serious feeling to it which it prepares you for the anime while the ending tells you that this anime is all fun and not that serious. Really the opening is just to serious for what the anime actually is but I still love it.
Definitely worth checking out (both seasons) and I hope I'm not the only one expecting a Season 3 for this one T.T
