What to make when, there's "nothing" to make
It happens a lot. We get busy and haven't made it to the store, now you're hungry and its time for dinner. Try this no-name goolash. Look in your cupboards, fridge and freezer... I'm sure you will find these things. Some kind of noodles, sausage or hamburger, leftover spaghetti sauce or diced tomatoes and and tomato sauce, cheese and maybe an onion, garlic bread spread (or 2tablespoons butter or margarine and garlic power) and Italian seasoning.
start the water for your noodles and add the Italian seasoning. Then start your meat. When almost done add the onion. When the water is ready, add the noodles. Drain the noodles, add the meat, sauce and maybe some bell pepper if you have one.
Dump it all in a casserole dish cover with more cheese and bake at 375 until cheese melts then kick it up to broil until crisp and bubbly...then serve Enjoy!

but seriously, @allischaaff, I'm sure you are going to love the way the pot roast comes out... one of the best things about slow cooker meals is the smell... air freshener and aromatherapy all in one
