I'm glad that someone is talking about this.
This is a very heavy subject. The stress and suicide rates are through the roof in Korea. This is a very personal subject to me because of my close personal friends there. One of them opened up to me during an extremely high time of stress at work to the point where her talk was very worrisome to me. I made sure for a while to check in on her several times a day and give her an outlet that didn't have the cultural biases. She had someone who she could openly talk to. Turned out she was under extreme pressure and it was effecting her mentally and physically. Luckily she pulled through and changed career paths. I don't believe she ever was suicidal but I'm happy that I could be there for her. I have a similar story about almost all of my wonderful friends in Korea. Maybe you have made a friend there too...make sure that they know they can always openly talk to you about anything without judgment.
