I know, I know. You wanted to stay in bed this morning.
Trust me, you weren't the only one. Not only did I feel a mess, but I looked a mess as well. Sleep was scribbled all over my face and a little bit of makeup probably wasn't going to do the job. We all have those mornings where rolling out of bed is the last thing we want to do. We hit snooze about five times before we get up and realize that we probably should've gotten up much earlier because we look like yesterday.
I know I'm not the only one who constantly questions the fact that Beyonce woke up like that. I mean, why can't I? Well, thanks to a couple early morning beauty hacks we can try and get pretty close to that Beyonce flawlessness we all long for. Just maybe. Below are six beauty hacks that will have you singing "I woke up like this, I woke up like this". Fake it till' you make it, right?
Chapstick is life. Literally.
Apply your chapstick to your lips before completing your makeup to give your chapstick just enough time to fully sink in and moisturize your lips. This tip is golden, trust me.
A pop of color on your cheeks.
If you don't wear blush, get started. Adding some color to your cheeks will definitely help you appear more vibrant and well rested. Choose a cream blush that will easily warm up into the apples of your cheeks.
De-puff your eyes.
We've all heard of the emphasis spoon trick. Keep two spoons in your freezer ahead of time, just in case. Place them on under eyes and watch them go to work. Puffiness be gone.
The baking technique.
Bring on the chill.
If Gabrielle Union and Kate Moss think it's an amazing beauty hack, than you should definitely give it a try. Take an ice cube and wrap it into a paper towel. Rub the damp ice cube filled paper towel across your face to not only wake you up, but tighten your pores.
Brown eyeliner for the win.
Although we all love a good black liner, studies show that brown eyeliners with a hint of shimmer will make your eyes appear wider and more -- awake. Use the smudge effect when doing this technique and follow up with a nude liner on the water line and of course, mascara.
