@jordanhamilton shared a dance video a few days. The routine, choreographed by Talia Favia, featured dancers Chaz Buzan and Courtney Schwartz acting out an emotionally charged breakup to the music of James Bay.
I mentioned to Jordan that Chaz is one of my favorite dancers. I also told her that I would share some of my favorites from his routines. True to my word, here are a few selections that do a fantastic job showing off the amazing talent of this young man.
Chaz Buzan was born and raised in Scottsdale, Arizona. He trained at the Arizona Angels Dance Studio, where he began with studying Jazz. Eventually, he discovered that his real love of dance laid in Contemporary. Chaz performed at various competitions, charity events, and special events over the years including; The Inaugural Parade in Washington DC, and The Easter Egg Roll at the White House. He also competed at the Dance Worlds in Orlando, Florida.
Chaz soon starting gaining recognition for his talent. He caught the eye of such choreographers as Mia Michaels and Brian Friedman. He was invited to work with them as an assistant and as a touring faculty member of The Pulse on Tour. As he gained notoriety, his career took off to even higher levels. Chaz has appeared in Cirque du Soleil’s “Believe”, Florence + the Machine’s MTV VMA performance, Britney Spears’ “Hold It Against Me” Music Video, and with Demi Lovato on “Dancing with the Stars".
Now, Chaz can add Principle Lead Dancer for Madonna to his resume! He appeared as "The Angel of Love" in her film “Secret Project Love Revolution”. He was also the lead dancer on her final tour, "MDNA 2012". He continues to travel the world with Madonna, appearing in all of her tours and films.
Chaz Buzan is has quickly become one of the hottest representatives of our community. He's simply amazing. He is being sought out as a choreographer, teacher, feature dancer and all-around performer. (If you ever get a chance to take a class taught by him, do it. He's a fantastic teacher and a really nice guy in general!)
Let's start this off with Chaz Buzan dancing to my favorite song: "The Blower's Daughter"by Damien Rice. The choreographer is TOKYO.
Here is another routine by TOKYO. (Chaz works with TOKYO a lot!) This is "Parachutes" by Trevor Hall.
*Note: after the 1:30 mark, Chaz is improvising on the spot!
This song is another of my favorite songs by one of my favorite singers right now. (I LOVE choreographing his music!) This is "Stabat Mater" by Woodkid.
Here is Chaz dancing with Talia Favia, the same choreographer from the video that Jordan shared. This song is "Show Me Love (Extended Mix) [feat. Kimberly Anne]" by Sam Feldt. This routine was performed at Artists Simply Human (ASH) Nationals convention.
This is Talia's choreography.
"I would like to dedicate this video to the men and women who are still fighting for the right to love. Love is not a privilege. It's a human right." -Chaz Buzan
Last, but not least, this is a video titled "Love - for Art for Freedom". Chaz choreographed this one himself.
This is from a project created by Madonna and Vice called "Art For Freedom: A Global Initiative". The purpose of this project is to "encourage creative expression that brings awareness to human rights violations". For more information and videos, please visit the website for Art For Freedom.
This is just a small taste of the amazing talent that is Chaz Buzan. For more videos, check out his website or YouTube.
