Matt Damon, we need you on this one.
It is well documented that Damon has a deep love for the comic world. News dropped this weekend that Matt nearly entered the Marvel world in the past, and is still open to parts barring things match up to his liking.
What do we have to do to make this possible?
According to his interview with the New York Daily News, Damon (no Affleck,) nearly starred in Daredevil years ago.
“For us it was always ‘Daredevil’ — that’s the comic we read when we were kids,” says Damon. “But when that one came along (in 2003) I chickened out, because I couldn’t tell. I hadn’t seen the director (Mark Steven Johnson’s) work and I didn’t know. So I just said, ‘No.’ Ben was like, ‘I gotta do it.."
He later went on to mention that he would still be open to a remake of the movie, barring one detail is in place:

“If Chris Nolan came up to me and said, ‘I want to do Daredevil,’ I would be in.”

What are we waiting for? Someone get Nolan on the line now!

I would love to see Damon play Daredevil (or just about any Marvel character on the way, Matt's a great actor).

Hopefully Nolan takes the bait and signs up for a Marvel run with Damon, it would be epic, don't you think?

@shannonl5 right
@BiblioLady makes sense. Like @CandaceJordan said Nolan is very talented and Damon is as well. I think we should let this series do its' thing before we try to reboot it- there's no reason to make them compete with each other, right?
As much as I love Matt Damon, I think I'll vote for the current guy playing Daredevil.
@shannonl5 I'm a huge Chris Nolan fan so I'm always going to be interested in his point of view. He has the awesome tendency of breathing a breath of fresh air on what could be viewed as old and stale.
I'd be intrigued, but honestly I love what the Netflix series has already done, and I wouldn't want to see someone new playing the character for a while. And by then I think Matt Damon might be a little old for the character... as much as I'd like to see him do it I feel like he missed the boat on this one. And as much as I like Nolan's Batman films... again Netflix has done some great work. I just don't see any reason to revisit the character with someone else at the helm yet. @CandaceJordan @ButterflyBlu @DanWest @BiblioLady @CarmenMRey what do you think?
