The Most Important Man in America aka Stephen Colbert recently had on Hello Games' Managing Director, Sean Murray on his show to show off (probably) the most ambitious game in recent history -- No Man's Sky.
I've previously written about No Man's Sky (in a list of upcoming Indies you need to keep your eye on) so I won't retread old territory here. But I think it's amazing how excited Colbert gets at the idea of playing this game.
The interview starts off in normal Colbert-ish fashion where he makes little jokes here and there about the Sean Murray (none of which are mean jokes, just silly Colbert-esque jokes). But when Murray finally starts running through the game, it's kind of amazing listening to Colbert's voice shift and change.
By the end of the demonstration, I think it's pretty obvious that Colbert is astounded by the way the game works. In a way, it's a really human look at this person we've come to put on a media pedestal. Hearing him get excited about something I'm excited about makes me even more excited... If that makes any sense.
Even though there isn't a release date on No Man's Sky just yet, I'm still anxiously waiting for this game to come out.
