[Kpop Trend] What Do You Think?
I've noticed more and more that groups are going all blonde for their concepts. SM seems to take it one step further and adds lighter eye contacts on top of that.

For Red Velvet's Ice Cream Cake, Wendy didn't even look Korean!

Personally, I was obsessed with this look on her, but I don't know how I feel about this trend as a whole and what it could mean for how people perceive beauty in Korea.
It's already pretty tough as far as beauty standards go: paler skin, long legs, and a symmetrical and small face. It's been changing and improving recently, but I wonder how blonde haired blue eyed idols will affect these standards.
The rest of the world is already constantly told by American pop culture that blonde, skinny, and white is beautiful (not my opinion! just what our movies, music, and models still spread) so when KOREAN pop culture adopts that too, its really hard to escape.
You want your role models to look like you, and with these looks, these idols no longer look Korean to me.

Yes, they look stunning and gorgeous, but I'm still curious what affect it will have.

Seriously, I'm so obsessed with how Wendy looks in this MV its unreal.

Let me know what you think in the comments below!

Tagging my old Acceptance August folks since they always have awesome things to say!

@sherrysahar I honestly feel like if they go with the anime inspiration it's usually the big eyes. But this is totally changing them to what people believe is true beauty. Which is typically blonde hair and blue eyes.
u can be right but it's not all on the beauty standards factor they just want to try colorful trends like I have seen them do pink yell orange green but I do agree that blonde has become really common lately but if someone can really rock the look I don't mind I want to try blonde or other colors too but I don't think I can but my friend is actually an Asian and she wants blonde hair so I think blonde is kind of ideal in Asian culture I have noticed.
@sherrysahar I don't think completely changing ones looks to the point that they look a completely different race is going with a colorful trend. Plenty of groups have done it in the post and they didn't do it to the point where they looked a different race.
Okay so here in America blones are considered to be dummm, (Not true) (Just a joke) So My opinion is why make fake stand out? When we are beautiful in our unique way. I really dislike How every other Countries make The USA stand out so much. I love the uniqueness of other countries to me and my opinion It gets boring if everyone is using it. But that is me. I personally dislike blonde. Maybe because it doesn't look good on me馃槢馃槣馃槄馃槀馃槀 lol 馃槶馃槶馃槶 ... lol Oh by the way I used to wanted to be more lighter skin. but the. When I get shy I'm like oh heck I love my color!馃憤馃槏 Great comouflage馃槇馃槄馃槀馃槀馃槀 So now well since hight school I have learn love my self as how I am. I love being me. 馃槅
First off, Wendy is a prettier white chick than I am and it's not fair. Anywho, I'm a fan of darker hair, so I'm not crazy about this trend. I usually don't like people with blonde hair bit of course there are always acceptions-like CL I think looks best as a blonde and Sunny, Taeyeon, and Yoona are pretty as blondes as well. But overall, I think dark hair is where it's at.
