Drake started this shit.
Well, he wasn't the ONLY rapper who displayed his singing ability on a regular, but he was one of the first to push it on a mainstream level. Now everywhere I turn I get a rapper who swears they can sing. I'm sure their is some rapper out there reading this and thinking "man, this guy just hasn't heard me yet.." sorry man, odds are you cannot sing.
With that being said, I must be a fool, because everytime I see a rapper cover a famous song, I give him a listen. More often than not I lose 30 seconds of my life I'll never get back, but hey it is what it is.
Luckily for me, today was my lucky day, as I stumbled across Childish Gambino's cover, and it was pretty damn good.
Childish Gambino was in Australia recently for a concert, and stopped by Triple J Radio to perform a subdued-yet-spirited cover of Tamia's "So Into You" for their Like A Version series.
Gambino spoke highly of this song, stating "I've dated a couple of girls who were like 'I love this song' and I'm like 'Me too!"
Seems like he was into this one and it turned out pretty good to me, what do you think
