Psycho-Pass is one of the most thoughtful series I've watched in a while. It explores several facets of society and culture...what makes it tick, and why there will always be flaws in any social structure, no matter how peaceful and equitable it may seem.
One of the things I admire most is that the viewer is exposed to the same culture shock that the main protagonist, Akane Tsunemori, experiences on her first day on the job as a new inspector. I don't want to reveal too much because I feel it would take away from the experience if you haven't seen it yet. I highly recommend Psycho-Pass to anyone who likes dystopic tales, philosophy, or psychological thrillers.
