Nicki Minaj Addresses Issue With Miley Cyrus In New Interview

Everyone knows Nicki Minaj isn't too fond of Miley Cyrus at the moment and today we got down to the source of her woes with Cyrus.

During a sitdown with New York Times Magazine, Minaj shared her thoughts in depth about Miley and why she rubs her the wrong way.

During the sitdown, Nicki touched on her recent issues with Miley Cyrus, and said that if Miley wants to enjoy the culture, lifestyle, and everything that comes with it, then she has to understand everything that affects black women in the music industry.
"You’re in videos with black men, and you’re bringing out black women on your stages, but you don’t want to know how black women feel about something that’s so important? Come on, you can’t want the good without the bad," Nicki said.

Does Minaj has a point? Is Miley Cyrus a fair weather friend to the hip-hop culture?

@MorleeCorielus yes I think she's changed.I think she's been affected by her past and now for some reason she's doing whatever she can to get attention.
@MorleeCorielus for sure, and it's a good thing to acknowledge. And a person's past is important, it does inform their present. We do need to be sensitive to it, but as with all things a person's past doesn't define all of them. @ChosenKnight I really like that approach. You don't learn much from someone's words, it's their actions. How do they resolve conflict? How do they try to make amends when they do make mistakes? The truth is we all are going to make mistakes. It happens, and it's normal. The issue arises when, like you said, people point it out but she continues to make those mistakes.
@MorleeCorielus OK that may be true, and I empathize with her on that fact.but she makes it kind of hard for me to really continue feeling that way because of her behavior. and I won't sit here and pretend that I'm sure perfect.there is someone who says this alot: the test to decide if someone is a decent person or not is that when you tell them that their behavior or words are offensive, they respond with "you know what?you're right and I'm sorry.I'll try to do better".does miley do that?no.she gets called out on her actions and continues to act disrespectfully and to give an opinion that was not necessary or needed.
@ChosenKnight that's so true. And @shannonl5 you make a good point - as people we all do harm and good in turns. I think I need to be more critical of Miley, because that kind of appropriation is not okay, and it's become so normalized in American pop culture. It's sad :(
Let's not forget@shannonl5 ,@ChosenKnight ,and@allischaaff she also issues with herself when she was young and a bad reputation on her career.

Hannah Montana: Where Are They Now?
She really did have the best of both worlds. I'm not going to pretend I didn't watch this on a regular basis, even though I was certainly too old to still be watching Disney Channel when it aired. The secret pop star and her close knit groups of friends and family have been busy since their days in Malibu. From Pop to Punk Miley Cyrus probably had the most dramatic transition of any Disney Channel star ever. From innocent Hannah Montana to her now self-described "white trash and Chanel" self, she's been making headlines for her music, style and relationships. Personally, I'm glad she escaped the mold of sweet Disney Channel stars and is doing her own thing. Still Old Okay, I can't find pictures of Jason Earles then and now because he was already SUPER OLD when he starred on the show. A 30-year-old playing a teenager just seems wrong to me, but I guess he pulled it off. Despite being older than everyone else on Disney Channel, Earles continued to start in Disney shows after Hannah Montana ended. Now, he's married with children (finally acting his age). Now a D-List Celeb Emily Osment went from Hannah Montana's trusty sidekick to the star of her own ABC Family show, Young & Hungry. She plays a young adult living on her own in San Francisco, which sounds like the plot of every ABC Family original series, but that's okay, I wish her the best. Teen Gets Tatted Thankfully Mitchel Musso has gotten a hair cut since Hannah Montana! He has also stayed true to his Disney Channel roots, starring in a couple of other Disney shows and writing music for Radio Disney. Less Disney Channel-esque are his tattoos, which he has become sort of well known for. Star of Sharknado (the sequel) Billy Ray Cyrus has since grown more facial hair than that tiny goatee he sported throughout Hannah Montana. He has also continued his solid acting career with appearances in classics like Sharknado 2: The Second One.

The Best Places to Promote Your YouTube Channel Are Forums
People have concerns. They also require responses to these inquiries. They, too, have passions. They wish to share them with those who are interested in them. Fortunately, the Internet has some unique places for all of those people. Forums are what they're called. Quora, Reddit, and Stack Overflow are just a few of the numerous free internet sites where you can advertise your YouTube videos and channel. This is how it works in a nutshell: When users discuss something, you join in the conversation, speak with them, and share a link to your YouTube channel. After all, doesn't marketing have to be conversational? Begin by compiling a list of popular threads related to your niche. Check to see if you have any YouTube material related to these topics that you might promote. If you don't have any, make some. Join the discussion and let others know that you've created a YouTube video on the subject. The Best Old-School Techniques for Promoting YouTube Videos YouTube has been active for over fifteen years, and video artists have exploded on the platform. As a result, they devised some unique promotion strategies that appear to be effective even today while promoting free YouTube films. Here's a quick rundown: 1. Collaborations on YouTube Collaborations on YouTube are a simple notion. YouTuber A contacts YouTuber B, and the two decide to collaborate on two separate videos, one for YouTuber A's channel and the other for YouTuber B's. This is referred to as cross-promotion. It's been around since the birth of YouTube, with many of the earliest YouTubers, such as Justine Ezarik and Shane Dawson, being the first to introduce it. So, if you want to promote your YouTube channel to a relevant audience, you must first discover a YouTuber with a similar niche to yours – of course, you don't want to send an email to a superstar because you must start small in this business. Send a smaller YouTuber an Instagram direct message or a casual, pleasant email. Pitch your idea to them and see where it goes from there. 2. Giveaways and contests To be perfectly honest, this is referred to as bribery, because you are essentially offering your audience a bonus in exchange for subscribing to your channel. And it just so happens to be a present. However, it's still one of the most effective strategies for individuals and organisations looking to grow their fan base. It's not only on YouTube, either. Contests and freebies abound on Instagram and other social media platforms. And they look to be one of the most efficient ways to promote yourself. To participate in a giveaway contest, ask your audience for a subscription and a like on your video. You won't believe how powerful this will be. 3. Hashtags on YouTube Hashtags on YouTube were only recently added. Actually, it was in 2016. The goal was to improve the viewing experience while also assisting artists in making their films more discoverable. Despite the fact that they aren't widely used and authors dislike them, viewers appear to be using them. We've grown so accustomed to seeing hashtags on social media that we intuitively want to click them. Make your title topic-specific by include a hashtag. It may sound antiquated (like Twitter in 2009), but it is free and produces results. 4. Establish power and establish relationships. At the end of the day, you want to be known as an expert in your field. Because you'll be able to grow an audience, market your services, and promote your YouTube channel, videos, and content for free and without having to lift a finger if you do it this way. People will keep checking what you've published, visit your channel, subscribe organically, and wait for you to provide more content once you've established yourself as an authority. However, in order to become an authority, you must have a comprehensive set of materials. Sure, a channel is a fantastic idea, but you'll also need to start a blog, write articles, and network with other experts in your field. You can then request that they include your video in one of their blog posts, share it on social media, or even give you a free shoutout. However, remember the YouTube golden rule. That is... Finally, create awesome content. It's not rocket science to succeed on YouTube, and it usually boils down to producing high-quality, useful video. If your content isn't good enough, promoting your YouTube videos won't help you because you'll just end up with a pool of uninterested viewers who won't subscribe to your channel or return for more. Concentrate first on creating high-quality material, then on how to advertise your channel. Keep your audience in mind, make them pleased, and who knows, maybe they'll take the reins and help you promote your show. Crossing my fingers!

"Hannah Montana" caused Body Dysmorphia for young Miley Cyrus
It really wasn't the best of both worlds. News about Miley Cyrus' battle with body dysmorphia during her 'Hannah Montana' days has really come in like a wrecking ball! It comes as a surprise to many because Hannah Montana was the persona that every little girl in the United States wanted to mimic back in the day. Hannah Montana was a disney phenomenon during the prime years of Disney Channel. Cyrus came after the days of Hilary Duff's Lizzie McGuire pop stars days. Cyrus was popular before Nickelodeon's Victorious and Disney's High School Musical. She controlled the market and with no real pop star competition in the mainstream music industry, Cyrus was able to dominate. She went on tour selling out stadiums that no entertainer had ever done before. And then it all changed. Miley Cyrus started to show signs of someone who was drastically unrecognizable to the bubble gum sparkly pop princess the country fell in love with. First, Cyrus at age 15, shocked the world when a picture of her holding only a sheet over her chest graced Vogue. Though Annie Leibovitz, world famous photographer, is known for provocative and shockingly amazing photos, people were horrified to see a tween girl being sexualized. However, the cutesy image continued to be quickly discarded after the Hannah Montana movie. We saw "Party In The USA", "The Climb", and "7 Things I Hate About You". But then she hit the ultimate turning point in her shocking song, "I Can't Be Tamed". The teenage years would surprise everyone and Cyrus showed that she wasn't kidding around. Twerking, tongue wagging, nudity, drugs, alcohol, and a short pixie haircut would be Cyrus' new image and she continues to create controversy with each passing year. However, she has never felt more like herself. That was then. She wore sparkly clothing with bedazzled jewelry. She was your typical American pop star with a platinum blonde wig and blue eyes. It was all confetti, backup dancers, and lazer lights before Cyrus even realized what was going on. "From the time I was 11, it was, 'You're a pop star! That means you have to be blonde, and you have to have long hair, and you have to put on some glittery tight thing,'" Miley told Marie Claire for their September issue,"Meanwhile, I'm this fragile little girl playing a 16-year-old in a wig and a ton of makeup. It was like Toddlers & Tiaras." Though Cyrus didn't feel comfortable with all of the changes, she remained silent. How could she complain? Her life was perfect from an outsider's view. She was getting everything she ever wanted, well, THOUGHT she wanted. But Cyrus quickly learned she wasn't being herself and that needed to change. "I was made to look like someone that I wasn't, which probably caused some body dysmorphia because I had been made pretty every day for so long, and then when I wasn't on that show, it was like, Who the f**k am I?" This is now. She's 22-years-old and just completed her sexually exhilarating Bangerz Tour in October. With major hits like "Wrecking Ball", "Adore You", and "We Can't Stop", Cyrus has been raking in the money. She's currently working on her fifth studio album that will undoubtedly hit number one on the charts as soon as it's released. Cyrus is even hosting the highly anticipated 2015 VMAs this year guaranteeing that it'll be a spectacle. But even though she is finally comfortable in her own skin and reaping success, she has never forgotten her past. "I would have anxiety attacks. I'd get hot flashes, feel like I was about to pass up or throw up. It would happen a lot before shows, and I'd have to cancel. Then the anxiety started coming from anxiety," Miley shared. "You get in this hole that seems like you're never going to be able to get out of." Cyrus also continued to note that she'd "probably never going to be the face of a traditional beauty company." Her image may be too controversial these days. "Unless they want a weed-smoking, liberal-ass freak," Miley added. "But my dream was never to sell lip gloss. My dream is to save the world."
If Celebrities Were Just Ordinary People
1. Kim Kardashian and Kanye West We know Kimye as being somewhat as American royalty. Kanye being an overly confident singer/rapper and Kim Kardashian maintaining her reality show and massive business empire. But in a parallel universe, Mr. West is working at an insurance company while Kim works as a dental assistant. They are your average middle class family living outside of San Diego. They named their child Stacey West and they were unable to have another child due to Kim's infertility. The medical costs would have been far too much to afford to try to have another child. 2. Beyoncé and Jay-Z Beyoncé and Jay-Z are artists making millions of dollars. Bey is Queen B and they are worldly known. The power couple goes on elaborate vacations and discards expensive luxury items because they can. However, in another universe Beyoncé and Jay-Z live in the Bronx. Jay-Z works as a teller at the local Chase Bank while Beyoncé works in Manhattan as a secretary. They have a little girl named Blue which is still a name of contention with the rest of the family. Like who would name their kid a color? 3. Jennifer Aniston One of the hottest and loved middle-aged celebrities out there. Aniston is a legend in Hollywood. However times have come at a rough time for Jennifer Aniston in a parallel universe. She gained far too much weight in college leading to her obesity and she continues to drink like a fiend. Aniston has been charged with illegal usage of prescription drugs. 4. The Kardashian Family They're you're favorite Californian family yet you're still unsure as to why you're so obsessed with them. They have a massive business empire that doesn't show any signs of slowing down. In this parallel universe, the Kardashians now live in Bakersfield. The women are growing older and wrinkled but they still go get their hair and nails done. Kris Kardashian is now a widow and will probably join eharmony soon. She never had Kendall or Kylie because she never remarried. She watches celebrity Caitlyn Jenner on the screen and is very supportive. "Wow," she thinks wondering what it would be like to be famous. 5. Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie seem to be the couple that everyone wants to be like. They have amazing lives and an abundance of children. They are both gorgeous and they have everything they've ever wanted. In a parallel universe, Brad and Angelina never got married. They live in Appalachia and are simply friends with benefits. Brad goes to the local bar frequently while Angelina is a help at the post office. Angelina never settled down to have kids because she was diagnosed with breast cancer and she can't afford to get chemo. 6. Britney Spears 90's pop sensation is doing well. She's going through multiple boyfriends, she's got kids, and she's got plenty of shows in Vegas. Spears is still doing well! In a parallel universe, Spears lives in a trailer park 45 minutes outside of Knoxville, TN. She married a man named Bert. Spears though however, got caught this week with marijuana charges and will be in the county jail for two days. 7. Lindsay Lohan Lindsay Lohan has been known in recent years to be in and out of rehab, an alcoholic, and a drug addict. She's gone in a downward spiral and is trying to regain the remaining happiness in her life. However luckily in a parallel universe, Lohan is living a typical happy life on the east coast. She lives in a little cottage off the beach. She can wear flip flops everyday and even though she doesn't necessarily have the bikini body like she did as a teenager, she is comfortable in her own skin. And on occasion she'll have a cigarette. 8. Paris Hilton Ohhhh Paris. The original reality star phenomenon is famous for being famous. She doesn't have a talent but she does have a lot of money. In a parallel universe, Paris Hilton is a yuppie trophy wife. Her days of beauty and glamour never necessarily happened, she was just trying to be good enough for her well-off husband. She's still carrying around her yippie dog but instead of a Beverly Hills Mansion, she's got an average beach home in Ft. Lauderdale. Wooden walls give that nautical vibe. 9. Rihanna She seems to always be pushing the envelope and doesn't care if she's seen naked or not. She knows she's a sex symbol even though it's not her goal. Rihanna has award after award given to her and the radio keeps playing her songs. However, in a parallel universe, Rihanna is a realtor in Atlanta, Georgia. When she moved to the United States, she realized Atlanta to be an affordable, cultural, and fulfilling city. It also was home to a strong christian community and she felt very welcomed. And with big homes going for a cheap price in Atlanta suburbs, she has a comfortably steady income. The best part? She'll also be celebrating her 22nd anniversary with her husband this month. 10. Miley Cyrus Miley Cyrus is on quite a change of heart in our world. She's trying to change the world in positive ways by creating an LGBT foundation and embracing her sexuality. She's got a new look, provocative music videos, and plenty of cash. But in a parallel universe Miley lives in Texas never able to get out of the lone star state to get to Nashville. She's already finished with high school and has never heard of a Disney show called "Hannah Montana". Her dream was to be a singer but with her father losing his job, it's not realistic.
