Oh holy avacados-at-law! Joe Quesada recently shared the image of a limited edition poster (below!) to promote the second season of Netflix's Daredevil! And I could not be more pumped about it.
It's not so much that there's a giant drawing of Daredevil (who is one of my favorite characters in the Marvel Universe); it's more so the fact that the shadow behind him is in the shape of The Punisher's skull (who is my definitive favorite character in the Marvel Universe).
While the first season of Daredevil was nothing short of amazing, the idea of bringing Frank Castle into the MCU is something that I've been thinking about ever since the MCU became successful.
Castle hasn't had any great on-screen adaptations (The Tom Jane version was probably the closest thing we have currently) but the inclusion of this character in the Daredevil series is something that gives me high hopes. And not to mention that the new showrunners said that season 2 is basically "Daredevil vs. The Punisher", so you can only imagine how excited I am about the new season since my two favorite characters will be the foundation of the season's arc.
What do you guys think of the new poster? I know it isn't much but it allows for some speculation, right? @shannonl5, you must have some thoughts on what the new season could turn out to be.
If you're one of the lucky ones going to NYCC soon, be sure to try and pick this poster up so you can mail it to me in the future. Daredevil Season 2 is expected to be released in April 2016.
THIS IS SO COOL. I know it doesn't say much, since we already knew the Punisher was going to be in the season, but.... it looks cool hahaha. I love the design choices. @AimeeH looooook it's your husband!
That's awesome. I've been meaning to watch the Daredevil it any good @shannonl5
@TessStevens it's awesome! You won't be sorry. Watch it!
I love it!!!! I will say that the pacing on the first episode is not the strongest, but they picked up momentum very well and by the third episode there was no going back. The series is a bit more pensive than the movies tend to be (perhaps with the exception of Winter Soldier), the fight choreography was really good. Honestly @TessStevens I think this would be right up your alley judging from what you've written about! They have a lot of commentary about journalism and integrity which you've shared some thoughts about before :D
