Habichuelas con dulce is a sweet dessert from the Dominican Republic. It translates to sweet cream of beans or sweet beans. This traditional dish is usually made with soft red beans, rich coconut milk, evaporated milk, nutmeg, cinnamon stick, vanilla and raisins -- but each region may give it a different twist. However, the preparation is the same. After it's prepared, it's often garnished with with milk cookies or a flat-bread made with yuca flour. The ingredients are added together and made in a pot, brought over head for about 30 minutes. This is made in a large batch for everyone to enjoy. This a dish to be shared! :)
Oh I would love to try it.
