Most of the season's anime got started within the last 2 weeks, and I still haven't started watching anything!!
What is everyone watching?
Do you have any recommendations?
Below are the top 10 of the season's anime that stuck out to me...I'll probably choose 2 or 3 all together to watch first so let me know what you think I should check out, ok??
1. Chivalry of a Failed Knight
(Rakudai Kishi no Cavalry)
The "school sword action" story revolves around Magic Knights, modern magic-users who fight with weapons converted from their souls. Ikki Kurogane goes to a school for these Magic Knights, but he is the "Failed Knight" or "Worst One" who is failing because he has no magical skills. However, one day, he is challenged to a duel by Stella, a foreign princess and the "Number One" student. In this duel, "the loser must be obedient for life."
This is the second season of the Diabolik Lovers series, so I'd have to watch the first season to get into this, but if someone tells me it's worth it I'll give it a shot!!
3. Kamisama Minarai: Himitsu no Cocotama
Basically, this little 5th grade girl takes good care of her stuff, and that causes little gods of sorts (called Cocotamas) to be born! Then she has to protect them and keep them secret. The little puffy things are those gods, and they can do some magic, but they are however inexperienced and sometimes make mistakes. Sounds cute??
4. JK Meshi!
This seriously just seems like an anime that gives cooking tips and I am 1000% down to watch it if that's the case lol.
In Japanese, “JK” is an abbreviation for “joshi kousei”, or high school girl, and “meshi” means “cooked rice” or “meal”, so it is only suitable that the anime focuses on 3 high school girls, Reina, Ryoka, and Ruriko, who have mastered the art of cooking simple, B-class dishes called JK meshi.
5. The Asterisk War: The Academy City on the Water
The Academy City on water, "Rikka". This city, otherwise known as 'Asterisk', was famous for being the world's largest stage for the integrated battle entertainment <Star Wars Festival>. The young boys and girls of the <Starpulse Generation> belonging to the six academies made their wishes with Shining Armaments in their hands, vying for supremacy -- Amagiri Ayato is one of them.
Ayato arrived at Rikka at the invitation of the Student Council President of the Seidoukan Academy, Claudia, and right after that he incurred the wrath of the <Petalblaze Witch> Julis, and ended up having to duel her.
Gift is a world where glittering blue crystals known as Giftium are buried deep beneath the earth. A young boy named Sougo Amagi lives in the prosperous mining town of Garden Indigo. Sougo, whose hobby is collecting rare crystals, one day becomes involved in a dispute between classmates Kaon, Roman, and Otto. He wanders deep into the ruins of a mine and discovers an underground lake. There, Sougo meets a mysterious blue-haired girl with red eyes named Felia and their fateful meeting is the start of a new adventure with their newly formed bond.
(Sakurako-san no Ashimoto ni wa Shitai ga Umatteiru)
Based on some reviews I read, this one has the best potential of many this season!!! But I'm not sure I trust those reviews XD
Shōtarō Tatewaki, a high schooler living in Asahikawa City, Hokkaido, meets Sakurako Kujō, a bone-loving young lady who has an ability to analyze specimen. Because of meeting her, he has to accompany her to various cases.
I'm a sucker for any sort of idol anime so I'll probably end up here -_- Read: I'm idol anime trash. Just look at the trailer!!!
The story involves a group of high school students at Ayana Academy, a school with music as its main focus. A trio of students called Hanasakura-kai are designated from the most talented of the music department. To get in, individuals must enter through a Star Frame class. The series tells the story of Yuuta Hoshiya*, Tooru Nayuki, Kaito Tsukikage, Shou Tengeiji, and Shuu Kuga as they aim for a position in the musical department after being spotted by Ootori, one of the Hanasakura-kai members.
This is technically the second Utawarerumono season but from what I read you don't need to know the first and there's a super cute cat girl so I'm pretty much in already.
I couldn't find a good synopsis, but a lot of people loved the first season so I'm really considering it!
10. I Was Abducted by an Elite All-Girls School as a Sample Commoner
(Ore ga Ojousama Gakkou ni "Shomin Sample" Toshite Gets♥Sareta Ken)
What. Kind. Of. Title. Is. This?!
Kimito Kagurazaka is an ordinary high school student. One day, he is forcefully enrolled in All-Girls School Seikain where its noble female students are cut off from the rest of the world to preserve their innocence. This deep isolation causes a large number of graduates to be unable to cope with the outside world... thus, to deal with this problem, they have decided to kidnap a male commoner - which happens to be Kimito - hoping that his "common man's" influence will be a gentle way to introduce the girls to the realities of life outside.
This sounds ridiculously like a harem anime, so I'm really not sure how I'm feeling about it. But Ok. Let's see??
Let me know what you think I should watch!
And if you or any friend are struggling to find new anime, maybe send them this list as recommendation ;)
