5 Ways To Attack Your Day
It's a lot easier to get things done when you're trying to kick ass. Switching up your mentality can do wonders for your work day. Here are 5 ways to get shit done and attack your day. Success is not without casualties, and here's how to make today your bitch.

1. Obey your alarm.

There is nothing worse than getting a late start. If you want to attack your day, you have to get up on time.
This is way easier said than done, but if you really want to succeed...you will make time for the morning. Sleeping in is great and all, but won't get you closer to killing off your day. So...get up. You won't regret it.

2. Don't over plan.

Part of having a great day is leaving room for fate to take over. If you schedule yourself within an inch of your life, you're going to have a hard time if something goes wrong.
So when you're making your list of daily tasks, leave a bit of a bumper between things. This can look like 10 or 20 minutes between major tasks. This will make it easier for you to accomplish everything, rather than piling on the pressure.

3. Kick out the jams.

Music is my number one motivator. With the right tunes blasting in my ears, I can do anything.
Pick a group that really inspires you. Your favorite band or artist can help push you toward your goals. A band actually inspired me to write this post. 30 Seconds To Mars is always a great motivator for me. Their music is inherently inspirational and every time I put them on, I end up working really hard.
Find that music for yourself, sooner than you know...you will start to attack your day.

4. Get real.

The only way for you to truly attack your day is to be realistic. For instance: If you've never run in your life...and all of a sudden you say, "I'm going to run a marathon today." You'd be insane.
You have to start small to get big. It's just the truth. We don't want to admit that...but it's the only way to figure out how to get better. If you put things into a REAL context...you'll understand that you aren't doing as poorly as you thought.

5. Don't think. Just do.

Action is way better than thought. Some people get into trouble because they act before they think...but I believe true progress comes when you're not afraid to act. When you can trust yourself and really go balls to the wall for something you believe in, that's when you can attack. That's when you can shine.
We spend way too much time idling in parking lots rather than speeding down empty streets. Which sounds more exciting?
Get out there and DO something. That's how you'll attack your day and make your life better than it was. There's no use lying to yourself. There is only action.
You can do it. Just have faith and let loose. ATTACK!

thanks for this! I have to start a weeks worth of homework tomorrow and I seem to always have the problem of not doing what I say I'm gonna do.

@SarahVanDorn you can do it! If you go into your daily tasks like you're fighting an epic battle...you'll get way more done. It makes things more intense, but sometimes you need that to move forward!

Ahh number one is def the hardest for me. I try to workout every morning but if I don't "obey" my alarm, my whole schedule for the day gets thrown off. I also get real lazy at night....
